“I Want To Learn How To Be a Better Activist” – Seattle High School Student

Learning actual information, things that will apply to securing a job that people need, seems to have fallen through the cracks. Institutional racism will end the moment this crap stops. People do not care if you’re black anymore. They care what kind of person you are. Michael Brown was a sh!tstain. Learn that and you’re halfway home.

King 5-

It’s a different type of classroom, tucked neatly in a room at Bethany United Church of Christ in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. Walls are lined with poster paper containing lessons, names and methods to end institutional racism are the reason the room was so crowded.

“It’s going to make people uncomfortable,” said 17-year-old Yaninna Sharpley-Travis, who helped organize the school. “But when you’re uncomfortable, that’s when you learn the most.”

Sharpley-Travis was one of dozens attending Freedom School, a two-day event organized through the non-profit American Friends Service Committee and it’s smaller group, Youth Undoing Institutional Racism. The school has been around for years, but this session is more popular than ever, organizers said.

  1. “People do not care if you’re black anymore. They care what kind of person you are. Michael Brown was a shitstain. Learn that and you’re halfway home.”

Even on the last day of 2014, the wisdom keeps flooding. And it makes me laugh too ‘cos it’s true! LOL!

  2. I’d be happy to help send them to an African country of their choice, where there is no “racism”. Their perceived pursuit towards the abolishment of thought crimes is good little Marxist training.

  3. “But when you’re uncomfortable, that’s when you learn the most.”

No sweetheart. That’s when your captive audience – sent there by their parents – is looking for the nearest exit. I really admired the Quakers (and still do think their basic tenets are great), before I found out how people abused it as a political springboard for perspectives I had NO affection for.

  4. And someday they can all go to Evergreen State College and get a worthless degree and they will be all set to point fingers and project their failings onto people whose accomplishments make it clear that they are pathetic, miserable failures.

  5. United Church of Christ. Anything but. The only “Church of Christ” is “The Church of Christ.” Southerners will grok this point.

And, yeah, I was raised in “The United Church of Christ…” but in the sixties and seventies it hadn’t yet become a Marxist front organization.

    The devil take them.

  6. “I want to learn how to be a greedy maggot who never has to do an honest day of work in my entire life – like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Barry Obola, Moose Obola, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, John Roberts, John Boehner, and a host of other, rich, useless, hate-filled parasites.”

    Fixed it for ya!

  7. These kids are being trained to put their futures and lives at risk for the corrupt, empty, meaningless cause of socialism. Socialism is dead ended and robs a person of their individuality and purpose.
America will suffer more socialist devastation, because most American children are currently being taught how to be a better leftist activists, rather than better American citizens based on our founding as a nation.
