BigGovernment: NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana — Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal fired up a hometown crowd with his 2016 GOP presidential campaign launch speech, hammering away at liberals like former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and at the entire political class on both sides of the aisle.
Taking the stage to Garth Brooks’ “Callin’ Baton Rouge,” — Baton Rouge, of course, is where Jindal was born after his parents immigrated to the U.S. from India — after his wife Supriya introduced him, Jindal proceeded to decimate the permanent political class in Washington and hammer away at multiculturalism.
“Today’s Republican Party in Washington has been beaten into submission and is increasingly afraid to speak the truth,” Jindal said, according to prepared remarks released ahead of time by his campaign. “It’s time to say what everyone is thinking — the emperors in Washington are not wearing any clothes. In case it’s not clear by now, I’m running for President without permission from headquarters in Washington, D.C. But rest assured — I’m tanned, rested, and ready for this fight.” more
He talks the talk.
Says “socialism” out loud.
I haven’t seen anything not to like so far. What has he said or done that would lead you to think he’s just another lying socialist?
This just in:
SCOTUS just upheld ACA/Obamacare
No. Didn’t imply that he’s a socialist.
He’s not afraid to use the word.
He is fearless and un-PC.
Jindal may be a good candidate time will tell. But elsewhere on the presidential trail was this good news from yesterday. Scott Walker expands right for gun owners in Wisconsin. http://hotair.com/archives/2015/06/24/scott-walker-defies-gravity-will-sign-two-new-gun-rights-bills/
our constitution means nothing to them. Laws mean nothing to judges. Welcome to the new banana republic.
OK – thanks for clarifying. Because I had liked him so far and wondered if I had missed something.
a good man. I could vote for him. or Paul, Walker, Cruz. (an Indian, a Hispanic, and 2 white guys qualified for president. No racism there)
Go, Bobby! You have my vote (and I currently hate Republicans-Add the Supreme Court to that list)!!!
“The crowd of 500 inside Jindal’s campaign launch at Pontchartrain Center near the New Orleans airport went wild”.
While reading that I went wild as well. I’ve always liked the guy.
The Press should note that no property was damaged when the crowd “went wild”…. the fact that he said he was “tanned” is hilarious.
Ditto Zonga. And he has a GREAT tan. I never noticed it before.
Has he been home schooled? Where did he get what seems to be a love of country and understanding of what America is supposed to be? He certainly assimilated very well . But I suppose they’ll make that a code word for ray cis against multi-cult.
