Over time, the Affordable Care Act is going to consume private health insurance until all that is left is a single payer government controlled system.
Projections are that in about seven years the government will take 7% out of the private market.
I think the process will be slow at first, then private insurance will collapse all at once (under it’s burden of government mandates, regulations and shrinking market share) forcing an FDR like take over of what’s left.
It will be so much more efficient then.
