Palin Rips Erickson His 7th A-hole

Erick Erickson,

Today a friend forwarded your apology for mocking my family – again – and in answer to your point, yes, I do remember people taking repeated potshots at my family, friends, and supporters (many of whom politely pointed out to you and your staffers that the sleazy photoshopped picture you ran of me was indeed fake, but were dismissed and mocked repeatedly for doing so.) Also, in your summary of our interactions, you forgot to mention things like your public comparison of me to L. Ron Hubbard (and not in a way that would make Tom Cruise proud). Apparently you’ve forgotten your other indiscretions, including elevating your staffer, Mr. Wolf, who has been trashing my daughter and entire family on Twitter for days now. Adult males like y’all are just delightful to work with in that GOP machine. Since your man there appears to be your go-to-guy when you want to diss me or my family, try telling him that your organization’s gleeful perpetuation of your problems involving taking unwarranted shots at various conservatives makes it almost silly to take seriously your after-you’ve-been-busted apologies. But thanks for suggesting one anyway today; it’s accepted.

And since we’re clearing the air here, you need to make peace with Mr. Trump and Dr. Carson, whom you also delight in besmirching. They are obviously very sharp, successful, courageous men who certainly did not draw first blood in the battles you picked with them. Do it, so we may have a strong, positive, uncensored primary to elect the strongest nominee to assure there is no “third term” for Barack Obama. And just so you know going forward, a mama grizzly is always going to defend her cubs – especially from a Wolf.

– Sarah Palin

PS: By the way, Erick, it’s August. Why don’t you chill out while Donald Trump brings 24 million people to watch Republican debates, when these debates are full of talented, well-spoken individuals advocating beautifully for our shared values?

  1. Michele Bachmann (my former representative) is still out there asking for donations to her PAC. Word is, from the liberal media, she has lots of money in her coffers.
I’m wondering when and if she will step up and support one of our conservative candidates.

  2. I’m amazed how much the elites are still afraid of Palin.
She is absolutely correct. Like Donald Trump or not, he brings the asses (Both left, middle and right) to the seats, more eyes and ears to the Republican party. (Right now, it’s mostly a Conservatism thing- and maybe that is Erickson’s problem?) Which brings me to my disappointment about Megyn Kelly: All of this attention is finally given to some serious Conservative presidential candidates and she suddenly became editor of a tabloid because Trump was there.
    No more of this, please.
In the meantime, Conservatives, turn this attention into gold.

  3. Why is Erickson even viewed as a “somebody”? Years ago I used to read his blog and even back then it was clear he had an agenda (that and he was always bawling for donations) I finally stopped reading it. He’s a nobody, treat him as such

  4. People whom I admire are bashing her for this on Twitter. “She should’ve shown class and just accepted his apology that he went above and beyond to make” How about Erickson show some class and stop doing this crap? They also misinterpreted her statement about Trump drawing attention to the debates and now she’s a big TRUMP SUPPORTER!!!11!!!eleventy!! In the meantime the left is running crooks and commies. We are so screwed.

  5. You know, I have mixed feelings about this, the problem is the Palins inserted themselves into an issue that was NOT about them. They kept posting and engaging in the rhetoric that quite frankly is childish. The statement for Trump and Carson (who the news was about) could have been made in a context that was not Palin centric. I fear Camille Paglia is right, Palin IS thin skinned and let’s herself get mired in the muck.

  6. I stopped going to the redstate website right after the 08 election and i don’t go back.

Why even let them have a click?

If you have to talk about them, why not just refer to them as kellystate.

  7. I think Erikson’s basic problem is that he was one of the original right wing bloggers who became popular and found himself with a fair bit of sway in the party. Now there are more and more popular bloggers out there his influence is waning and he’s not taking it well. Well, screw him. I don’t think the odd acorn he finds makes up for his shift to the left or his arrogant attitude.
By the way for the writer that made a note that Palin had no business getting herself involved in this dustup you couldn’t be more wrong. If that were true you shouldn’t be voicing your opinion here. Anybody can voice an opinion on any subject should they so choose. Even Erikson on Plain and vice versa Freedom of speech, I think it’s called.

  8. FWIW, I also think Erickson is a polesmoker. I have a pretty good gaydar, and every so often he sets it off.

Fat, gay, and licking RINO taint is no way to go through life, son.

  9. Eric Erickson is as relevant as a vhs player. This guy is a total neo-con/Bush-lover. The fact that candidates were willing to go to his Redstate forum just shows how early it is and how hungry they are for publicity.
