Hannity Gives Thoughtful Answer To Glenn Beck’s Questioning of Trump Support

Breitbart-

Late Thursday, Glenn Beck criticized Sean for supporting Donald Trump and questioned the motives of many “big-name” conservatives.

Beck, who previously slammed Trump for being “the biggest flaming [ass] that you could possibly imagine,” called out Sean and other conservatives in a Facebook post, why “big-name” conservatives were pledging their support to the GOP presidential candidate.

Beck went on to question the motives of Sean, Ann Coulter and others noting: “I get it if you are tired of politicians, a Republican progressive, or you are only about winning?”

SEAN’S RESPONSE TO BECK:

Glenn,

You are a friend and a patriot who has asked an honest and thoughtful question, and I will attempt to answer it in this post.

You asked, “Can we actually have a civil discourse based on facts? Not on emotion or feelings?” Of course we can! For all of you leftists out there in the media and elsewhere hoping this will become a “food fight,” you will be extremely disappointed.

Let me first point out that I am personally UNDECIDED as to whom I will support in the GOP primaries. The good news is the Iowa Caucus is February 1, 2016. That gives us over 5 1/2 months before the REAL process begins in deciding who the Republican presidential nominee will be. Five and a half months is an eternity in political terms.

A lot can and will happen between now and then. Some candidates will trip and fall or stumble. Some will recover and others may not. Polls will shift, debates will hopefully enlighten, and voters (that is, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE) will decide which way this is going to go.

[…]

Kudos to Donald Trump for creating an audience that not only benefitted him, but every other candidate and the entire country. He single handedly made politics refreshingly fun, unpredictable and interesting. That is a great benefit to the country.

Now to your specific points, because you said you “really want to understand.”

First you wrote:

“I get that Trump is reflective of what people are feeling; secure the border; fight to win; don’t give in to China, etc. I really do understand that he is saying things that people are feeling. Justifiably.

I get the fact that he is saying that America is a great place and that we can be great again. That is rare and refreshing.

I understand that he is seen, and has the proof in New York City, as a guy who can get things done. I understand and like the fact that he just says what he is thinking. No politically correct BS, no focus groups, and he does it with out apologizing.”

My only comment to this, Glenn, is … you are answering your own question in many ways. These are not insignificant things. Why, at this early stage, would you be so dismissive?

[…]

In the end, that’s up to the American people to decide, not us.

In conclusion, Glenn, I repeat … I am personally undecided at this point. But I am glad Donald Trump is in this race. I like his straightforward outsider’s view of politics. His personality and background are impressive and refreshing. I like anybody who is not politically correct.

I hope his outspokenness and his courage rubs off on his fellow Republicans, who have all become stale, timid, weak, and generally (especially in DC) useless. Many Republicans can learn a thing or two from Trump.

We have 5 1/2 months until the Iowa caucuses. My promise is to dig deeper into the questions you and others have raised that deserve answers. I also promise to give Mr. Trump and every other candidate a fair shot to explain their views in detail. I think a FAIR SHOT is the best way to serve my audience. Then it’s up to the American people, as it should be.

  1. I’m prejudiced in that I can’t stand either Beck or Hannity.
But, he’s right about one thing.
“…his fellow Republicans, who have all become stale, timid, weak, and generally (especially in DC) useless.”

And that right there is the main reason for Trump’s appeal.

  2. I enjoy both Hannity and Beck, I do not agree with everything either of them say. But I am in full agreement with Hannity on this one. Trump is refreshing. I am so sick of politicians of any ilk that are so timid to speak their minds. I would much rather everyone of them speak up for what they believe in rather than give answers that won’t piss off some perceived focus group’s feelings. Trump
does not have my support yet, but I am glad he is in the race to force some dialog about things that need addressed.

  3. “the biggest flaming [ass] that you could possibly imagine,”

Isn’t that rather strange thing to say about one’s self?

OH, he was talking about Trump?

And I agree with Hannity – it’s not up to you or any other mouthpiece. It’s up to the citizens of the USA (notwithstanding voter fraud, election fraud, 11+ million criminal invaders, etc.).

  4. The Republican party has been a bunch of lame elitist, go along, pansies with NO leadership. Every 4 years you hear about how we need to shake things up and seek real change. Trump, love or hate him, is forcing changes in behaviour and focus and forcing issues to the surface. Stirring the pot causes all sorts of things to rise to the surface. Give trump a bigger spoon.

  5. I read an interesting commentary on being “offended” by something politically incorrect. What right does that give the offended party? Nothing. What impact should that have,? Nothing! Do they have the right to gag you into losing your freedom of speech? Absolutely NOT. Does anyone care besides the “offended”? NOPE. So, in language these high(low) brow enlightened elitist progressives can understand…..PISS OFF.

  6. I can’t stand Beck because on a dime he bawls like a baby. He’s just like Boner, a cry baby,. Trump is telling it like most of us see it. He’s strong, direct and doesn’t care what people say about him. He says he’s rich and successful. Ever hear anyone in the GOP talk like Trump does? People lap it up. I’ll never vote for a Bush ever again, or Carly who is playing the war on women card. Whenever one opens their mouth and says something stupid, you know they aren’t the one to vote for. Haven’t heard Trump make an ass out of himself yet. He appeals to a lot of frustrated people and there are millions of us.

  7. I liked Beck better when he was a roaring drunk. We didn’t have to put up with his dry drunk behavior or… the insufferable Pat Gray as Beck’s Chief Enabler and Paid Sidekick.

  8. Many so-called conservatives set a up a circular firing squad for the candidates. Would Beck call Ronald Reagan a Republican Progressive because he was once a Democrat? I get annoyed with Beck but I support him because the left hates him. I don’t watch Hannity but I support him because the left hates him. I love Trump because he is hated by both the left and right.

  9. I’m for Trump because the democrats aren’t. They are afraid of him and they’re trying to smear, bash, assault, and trash Trump any and every way they can because win or not, he is saying what most Americans are thinking. And it’s gaining ground over their side and the republicans they want to see win the presidency. To them it’s okay to be sick and tired of socialist democrat rule and you can vote for a republican if you wish but you will have to vote for a republican they approve of. Well, they can go rub their knuckles in shit. Trump is calling BS on them having their way with everything again and they can’t stand it. Trump is the antithesis of a democrat and yet employs some of the same tactics they are famous for. He wins. He is all about winning. Likewise America should be too. I for one am sick to death of this communist ‘bend over and take it in the ass’ government run welfare system known as the obama presidency. It’s way past time to kick some asses and take some names. It will take a Donald Trump to get that started. Opposing thoughts and opinions? I don’t give a shit. RD.

  10. Delve into what the Mormons believe. See for yourself that it is not a religious sect of Christianity, it is a full blown bozo cult. Christians who wish to sound all righteous n’ proper and not offend anyone (sound familiar?) have allowed these loons to sneak into the popular lexicon of established religion. So yeah, it has something to do with it…

  11. The more I see of the weeping and wailing and gnashing of Republican teeth, the more I like The Donald.

I am so sick of RINO’s. Let ’em all pound sand. I say let Trump or someone else with balls grab the helm and run the limping republican steamship into an iceberg and see who survives the collision. If he wins, the RINO’s all jump ship.

  12. I have to be honest. I never really fully knew what mormonism was all about until just before Romney was running.
The more I read the more my jaw got closer to the ground.
It really isn’t a Christian sect. It’s, to be kind, odd.
But, hey, they are good, happy people.

  13. No doubt Fur, but being good and happy is not the prerequisite to eternal life. Hell will be full of good people who thought they could earn their way into Heaven. Nah, ain’t gonna get all preachy here. Jesus said there is only one way and it is thru Him. Just sayin’.

  14. I for one am damn excited to be alive to see the death of the Rino/Progressive party. Hell everyone here knows I truly want Ted Cruz to be our next President but I’m so glad Trump is doing what he’s doing by telling everyone to go to hell, I’m for making America great again. This is Historic folks, what happens in this election will decide the fate of our children and grandchildren. Trump and Cruz are destroying “The Washington Cartel” and I couldn’t be happier.

  15. Oh Hell Yes! Every time I hear George Will spit and sputter his little temper tantrums it breathes a little more life back into my American Spirit. Every time Trump smacks down or just swats away another defeatist go-along PC wuss-monkey, a little more of the gloom and dejection that has crept in and piled on over the past 7 years falls away and the light at the end of the tunnel gets a little bit brighter!!! Eventually, the Republicants will have to realize that WE really are still the majority of Americans, and this counytry really is EXCEPTIONAL dammit, and we will be GREAT again even if we have to walk over top of our own so called party to get there!
No more “politicians”. Our leaders have to be statesmen!
