2. Never seen the show, but I do agree that all progressives should spend a few days in the woods, or rather, Kodiak Island, where they can enlighten themselves by making friends with the big furry brown bears.

3. I watch tv but only old B&W shows. I’m not watching naked people.

4. Alone, best survival show ever made. 10 guys start out being dropped off in the coastal island wilds of the Pacific Northwest, no food, self recorded no camera crews , just their wits and 10 items of their choosing, no guns. A sat phone for when they tap out, or emergencies.
   These supposed “survivalists” are to compete for $500K awarded to who lasts the longest.
   Bears, wolves, cougars, hunger, miserable weather and isolation all take their toll on the contestants will to stay.
   Of the last three holdouts, isolation knocked off two, the winner was the guy I told my wife in the beginning would win.
   40 year old father from rural Georgia, a country boy can survive.

   One of the guys was amazing with his skills, built a boat skinned with a tarp, built a yurt, made a lute, with the boat was able to obtain plenty of food, couldn’t take the isolation.
   The biggest thing I got from the show was you have to be comfortable with yourself and not need the constant reassurance of others to survive the isolation.
   What I have seen of Naked and Afraid, would probably kill and eat the women they put on there, miserable, whiny bitches. Yes ladies I understand, not all women are like that, a lot are. To compound it, the women want to insist they are as capable and contribute as much as the men, when it’s obvious to anybody, they aren’t and don’t.
   Ass, gas, or grass, nobody rides for free.

5. This is one of the two or three shows I watch every week. He’s right. The women are insufferable. Yes, there are a tiny subset of women who come almost close to the guys in survival skills, but they’re just that, a subset.

   The all-time best episode featured a guy who asked for a length of rope as his survival item. He was the only person to ever ask for rope over a machete or fire starter. He was a social misfit, but the things he did with that rope — including making shoes — was incredible. He probably GAINED weight at the end of the 40 days. He said his parents used to drop him off in the woods when he was 10 on a Friday and say, “See ya Monday.” It showed.

6. First of all, who would want to watch unattractive nekkid people revert to their primal instincts (supposedly) and root around in the jungle like animals? Second, who would want to watch men & wimmin reduced to the basest human nature? Can’t decide who is more pathetic: the voyeurs who watch or the participants who sign up for this peep show.

   So lets review: N & A is ugly nekkid people, being ugly to each other. Heck, I can get that at my house for reals, every day, except there is a lot more, XXX rated, “bumping uglies” going on and the good parts aren’t “fuzzed” out (until I take my glasses off….).

7. The Discovery Channel sure isn’t about discovery anymore. Nor is the History Channel about history. I will admit I like Fast and Loud but that’s only because I like old cars and the guys who work on them. How can so called reality TV be real when everything is scripted and acted out. Which brings me to Who the Hell cares about this crap? It could be worse, It could be TLC which stands for The Loser or Lower Common Denominator channel.

8. It’s rare that I watch TV, when I do it is on either Discovery, History or Fox News while taking in lunch. My wife is all about the fake housewives, gays cooking or gays buying homes, so I steer clear of the family room entirely.

   However over the summer my daughter stumbled upon me watching Naked and Afraid while finishing a sandwich. I didn’t really know what it was all about but it caught her interest, so we watched it a little more. It became one of her favorite shows and she eventually roped my wife into watching it.

   While grabbing another beer one night, I saw they were watching the Naked and Afraid XL, so I joined in for a bit. It so happened that that Honors Bowen bitch was throwing all the tools into the river, it pissed me off so much I even mentioned it a couple times here on iotwr.

   Read up some on this bitch if you want some entertainment, especially the comments. More than one comment has been made that this is what the dating scene for 20 somethings is like today and that it is the reason this age group isn’t getting together and getting married. Apparently guys nowadays have to wade through a cesspool of Honora Bowens before they might come across one old fashioned gal that isn’t all about her and her rights.

   I haven’t watched a full episode since.
