A class action lawsuit was filed last week against the major chocolate makers in the United States. It alleges that the companies falsely advertise, and they’re not telling customers in California that they are not doing enough to fight the use of child slave labor.
Besides a monetary award, the plaintiffs want Hershey’s, Mars and Nestle to all put notice on their packaging that “Child Slaves” were used in making the product.
The three chocolate companies all point to the multi-million dollar efforts they have taken to make sure the raw material they use only comes from reputable growers.
Typical do-gooder activism that will only make conditions worse in the target nations if they get their way.
After filing the lawsuit they called each other on their iPhones to congratulate themselves.
I have stayed fairly calm while moonbats have destroyed the society I grew up in. Don’t fuck with my chocolate!
Simple solution. Stop selling their products in California.
Funny, the article didn’t seem to mention the plaintiffs names. This is a nuisance lawsuit that even in California is likely to be tossed out. I only hope that the judge when tossing the suit awards costs to the defendants.
Apple always gets a pass!! grrrrrrr waiting for that day when the moon bats realize who apple really is
Child slaves make the best chocolate by far. True fact.
There was a lawsuit filed by the brain-dead do-gooders to stop Nike from using “slave labor” to make their goods. It wasn’t slave labor they were just being paid a lot less than U.S. workers. Nike caved and closed the plant. Most of the workers were women. Guess what “job” the vast majority of those women ended up doing? Yes — prostitue. They were working and earning a wage but the socialists in this country escalated the democrat war on women to include those outside of the country. Nary a word was said about these women becoming prostitutes.
If the knuckle-draggers win this lawsuit, watch the incidence of prostitution increase around the area. Bet on it.
Yes — prostitute.
Edit function please?
When did Hershey, Mars, and Nestle start selling chocolate? I thought that they sold a mixture of cocoa butter and Crisco, that they sarcastically call chocolate?
I’m a slave to chocolate. Can I get in on this?
BTW, if they win, I’m sure those generous, caring lawyers will make sure all those “slaves” will get a coupon toward a discount on chocolate bar…
I am not for slave labor in any measure but I don’t have a problem with children working.
not every child was born with silver spoon in his mouth like the children in the usa have been when compared to other countries.
growing up with chores and jobs makes you a better citizen and person.
growing up never having to work makes you a leach and adolescent for ever.
i wonder how many of our leftist protesters never had to cut the grass at home while growing up?
