President Barack Obama on Saturday called for capping standardized testing at two per cent of classroom time.
While addressing one of education’s most divisive issues, he also said that the government shares responsibility for turning tests into the be-all and end-all of American schools.
Students spend about 20 to 25 hours a school year taking standardized tests, according to a study of the nation’s 66 largest school districts that was released Saturday by the Council of the Great City Schools.
But it’s not known how much class time students spend preparing for tests that became mandatory, starting in third grade, under the George W Bush-era No Child Left Behind law and are a flashpoint in the debate over the Common Core academic standards.

Yep, and between 2 schools, this parent spends an extra 40 to 50 hours with the kids whom are other wised forced to participate in common core (non-essential) testing. Interesting thing, they don’t tell the parents when the testing is, they instead let the students know the Friday before the Monday of all week testing. Since they test about 4 hours of the day, I sign them out early, or in late. Damn commies have no reason to test my kids.

Gets back to a notion I posited some 30 years ago.
Hand out HS Diplomas, BSs, MSs, BAs, MAs, and PhDs randomly, to “minorities” at the percentages earned by “Asians” and “‘White” people. Jobs, too. Make the yuge corporations which get tax breaks and favors send checks to randomly selected “minorities” at the same percentages as the “Asian” and “White” people.
Let em stay in their minority “enclaves” and watch TV, smoke crack, and drink MadDog 20/20 – just leave the humans alone.

So, thinkers, what say you to the solution to lower IQ’d people? Path of least resistance suggests we compromise to accommodate the lower IQ while we fall into mediocrity.
To turn our backs would yield a thriving middle class which O will not have. Lower IQ’D people can also participate, learning capitalism one paycheck and job assignment at a time.
