In 2008 a pregnant woman who severely injured her baby in utero by driving recklessly was charged with murder when the baby died six-days after being born. After years of court cases, a New York Appeals court ruled that the baby wasn’t a baby–yes, even though it was alive and outside the mother for six days–and the woman cannot be charged with murder.   More

  1. It was ruled so for leftist purposes. When the law says the opposite of what they want, they get a court ruling, or they get an agency to make a new rule. We are no longer governed by the rule of law . We are governed by the law of rules.

  2. Also, aren’t there many cases in which a killer is charged with the murder of an unborn child while assaulting/murdering the mother? What, now all those convictions must be overturned because they were convicted of killing a non-person?!?
