If you’re reasonable about your choices McD’s is probably as healthy as any of the so-called all-natural, healthy restaurants out there. Morgan Spurlock’s hit-piece “SuperSize Me” was nothing short of pure bullsh*t that was scripted even before he started filming. It was meant to make a sensation, reaffirm the left’s contempt for any corporation they don’t like and most importantly, make Spurlocks career. Every mealtime has healthy favorites now and if you’re careful the Big Mac or Quarter Cheese can be yours with a small fry or better yet a side salad with a bottle of water. I bet you never a see a documentary called “McD’s a Marriage of Common Sense and Healthy Clean Food”
From the video:
Tools of the Leftist– the lecture, the punitive tax, the ban
Tools of the Liberty Lover– open-minded discovery, freedom with personal responsibility
At the drive-up window of life make mine liberty and supersize it.
Love that! I’ll have the same!
I know someone who tried it

Press Watch — you speak boldly!
I hope Cisna doesn’t follow the same life “philosophy” as Jared.
@Plain Jane: did you see the two episodes of Dr. Phil about Jared? I wanted to shower after watching them. Ugh!
Pretty sure Dr Phil was a spinoff from Orca W.
So strike 2- I absolutely refuse to watch either of them.
No I didn’t. TV viewing is usually limited to re-runs of Hogan’s Heroes for me. 🙁 . I’m hoping Dr. Phil educated his audiences about child molesters.
Healthy eating is not just consuming a calorie deficient diet so that you lose weight. Hey I applaud the guy for losing the weight. He needs to lose more.
A healthy diet isn’t just the RDA of protein, fat and carbs, it should encompass a wide range of nutrients that your body needs to function like it was designed to and you can bet your ass that McDs is not the place to get them.
Before I get off my soapbox let me say that many people treat the most awesome gift imaginable, your body and mind, with…disrespect.
Eat what you want – you’re gonna die, anyway.
Moderation in ALL things.
A study from about 30 years ago found that “healthy living” people (no smoke, drink, tasty food, &c.) averaged about 3 months longer life.
Averaged.
Some got run over by trains, cars, &c.
Some had diseases.
HEY! Who gave these cretins my picture?
I suspect that you haven’t been to McD’s in quite some time and really aren’t clear on what they serve any longer. It kind of sounds like you get your opinion from HuffnPuff editorials while crunching on a bowl of morning fresh picked weeds from your driveway.
The government’s RDA of the macronutrients for the last 5 decades has given the nation an epidemic of obesity, metabolic syndrome and Type 2 diabetes. Nutritional biochemistry 101 should have taught these idjits there is no essential carbohydrate and there is no such thing as a carbohydrate deficiency.
The bottom line is a healthy diet isn’t the RDA of protein, fat and carbs and it doesn’t matter where you eat them. Those who believe calories in/calories out have a very flawed understanding of the law of thermodynamics.
The government’s RDA and food pyramid are directly responsible for this country’s abysmal health. Responsible medical professionals and researchers who don’t live on the government’s teat are beginning to realize this.
Yup. That’s how Jared started.
Diabetes is genetic you get it from your parents and not your food. You can eat carbs and junk food until the cows come home if you don’t have diabetes you aren’t gonna ‘catch’ it from your food.
Obesity is similar. that is it is genetic. If you are genetically thin/normal you probably couldn’t become obese if someone offered you a million dollars to do it. On the other hand if you are obese you can only lose the weight with a starvation diet and you can only keep it off by dieting for the rest of your life. You are born with the tendency to be obese it doesn’t get handed out at McDonalds.
What you need to survive and thrive are the MDRs. Everything else you read from the quacks is… well, quackery.
