Federal Agencies Monitor Toy Guns for Regulatory Compliance

BigGovernment: On November 30,Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) released a report on government waste, showing that multiple federal agencies are monitoring toy guns for regulatory compliance, although only one of the agencies involved has enforcement powers.

Lankford’s report is titled, “Federal Fumbles.”

According to the report, oversight of toy guns is currently being handled by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Of these two, only CBP “actually has enforcement capability.” more

  1. And why don’t we save even MORE money, and have NO Gooberment monitoring of toy guns at all. WTF are these jacktard idiots monitoring for in the first, second, and third place, anyway?

  2. Sheesh, you’d think neither of them have ever heard of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. You know, baby cribs, toys, etc.

And the thing of it is there will be foreign-made toy guns that fall apart and kill kids anyway. So, we’re going to have to employ an entire army of additional idiots to oversee the overseers.

  3. I did some research at NIST a couple of decades ago and they are a very professional outfit. That being said, they are also a conduit of tax money to researchers who can convincingly couch their research in terms the FedGov approves.

Toy gun bullshit appears to be but one.
