I’m an “Obama Racist” as many of you are. It’s ok to admit it: we’ve been forced to view everything in terms of Race. If we don’t notice and genuflect to skin color, we’re racist. If we do notice skin color, we’re racist. And by “race” and “skin color,” we all know which race and which skin color, don’t we?
We’ve been forced into the narrative that skin color corresponds to political beliefs and allegiances and, like a “paint-by-number” work of art – where all ones are red and twos are green, etc. – the whole political tapestry can be assigned to individuals according to the color of their skin. Your skin color is your chief identity and determines what’s “inside the lines.” No thinking is required – or tolerated – beyond this construct.
This is Obama’s Legacy, with a capital “L”: rather than unite America, the “first, Black, American President” divided America, because he is Black FIRST …and American second.
