She was announcing a new initiative to get high school kids to help senior citizens with shoveling after snow storms.
Not only did they pull a Benny Hill with the van driver, they scraped the ice at an ice rink to bring to the presser because there’s currently no snow in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Doesn’t surprise me in the least. Throughout my professional career I’ve witnessed all kinds of requests in the open or subtle suggestions to make things look better than reality.
What’s really sad about this story, the Senior Service Director apparently has no direct contact with real actual seniors. If she did, it shouldn’t have been too difficult to get a small group of seniors together in support of her initiative.

What kills me is… did they need the Tranny Granny to do backflips on the video? They could have pulled ANY woman over 70 off the street and asked her to stand there for 5 minutes. OR, even made the video a bit campy and you could say you were shooting for comedy. This is just nuts.
