  1. There were a few times we’d bumper ski in Wis, but it was more of a quick grab and slide. Not an afternoon of it. The Lake Geneva police did write tickets for that kind of thing.

    We upped it once when I was 17 with a VW on a frozen lake, towing one of us on a sled.

    Once.

    I limped for a while after that day. MF-er driving while I was on the sled took off across the lake at full throttle. He was gaining speed and it was getting ridiculous when we crossed the frozen tracks of snow mobiles and I flew off.

    I stopped rolling about 20 feet from a guy that was ice fishing.

    We just looked at each other as I got up and started limping back to where we started. MF-er disappeared into the haze as he kept going and gaining speed. Never knew what happened to me until he stopped and saw the sled was empty and went looking for me.

    I had a few words for him since the idea was to keep it under 20mph not ‘see if you can kill me’.
