  1. Israel would be wise to accept Trump’s message or that from anyone on the Republican side and vote accordingly.

Why they’ve voted democrat in the past is hard to fathom. They seem to be more reasonable and intelligent than that.
Obama has thrown them under the bus…have they finally learned?
They of all people should have learned by now.

  2. Frank — This is right in line with what he outlined for the WaPo. He is not going to go hardline just to satisfy the pundits and appease their rigid requirements that he be binary about every single issue. In his foreign policy statement he said his general approach is to resist the legacy the nation builder at the expense of the United States. He said on many occasions that we are not the same country or in the same circumstances that took us down that road. It is irresponsible to continue foreign aid and intervention when this country is on the economic mat. Common sense. If you don’t have it, you don’t have it to give. In the meantime countries who have gladly received our financial support have grown to become some of the economic powerhouses — SoKo, Germany, China, etc. — because, mainly, they have become the world’s leaders in trade output, also at the expense of American trade deals with them. Concurrently, we have become the world’s ATM when it comes to fighting wars, providing relief and rebuilding the infrastructure in countries where it is not just unappreciated, but scorned, and America is seen as a ridiculous and stupid rich uncle.

Israel is one case in which our partnership with them is vitally important as our only true ally in the ME. They are the best example of the exception Trump talked about.
