Ted Cruz on Jimmy Kimmel – IOTW Report

Ted Cruz on Jimmy Kimmel

Watching now.

He’s relaxed, seems affable. He’s revealed that foremost he wanted to be an actor, but he said he didn’t have good looks or talent.

The audience chuckled nervously.

The most in depth he got, politically, is his stance on combatting radical Islam. Kimmel was uncomfortable with his ideas, saying that constant monitoring and surveillance on Muslims in America will make them anti-America and we’ll be fomenting more future terrorists.

Kimmel is right. So, the only solution is to get them out of America.

Cruz went for a joke that fell flat. He said he has many roundtable discussions with owners of small businesses and he hears their complaints, that middle-America is hurting.

Kimmel, telling his own crap joke, said, “maybe it’s the shape of the table. Try a square table.”

Cruz said, tragically, “they do come in and put their swords on the table.” [crickets]

Kimmel asked Cruz who he likes more, “Obama or Trump?”

He said he dislikes Obama’s policies, and Trump is a “unique individual.”

Earlier in the show a man had examples of April Fool’s pranks. He put a picture of Donald Trump in front of his friend’s car back-up camera.

Cruz said if he saw that on the screen he’d have a hard time figuring out which pedal to press. (This got laughs.)

The last movie that made Cruz cry was the last Star Wars.

First concert he attended was “Men At Work.” He went with his mother.

He also said he went to see Pink Floyd, and a uniformed officer was smoking a joint. The cop looked at him and shrugged, “It’s Floyd.”

The end.

He seemed friendly and affable and a bit nerdy.

All in all it was a positive appearance and will serve him well.

  1. Thank you for previewing BFH for us on the west coast. Maybe I can watch and not cringe. Mr Illustr8r a big believer that pop culture matters. Watching GOP candidates on late night usually starts a torrent of “WTF is the ?!#%\<?!# GOP thinking?!?"

  2. I knew Ted was going to be on this week but Kimmel lost me a while back.
Kimmel used to be more independent but now he is all in for Hillary.
KIimmel is actually just a snarky dumb bastard.
I mostly just want to bitch-slap that smarmy look off his idiotic mug.

Kimmel denigrates Trump every monologue no matter what.
    The shit gets old.

I am more for Cruz but Kimmel blasts Trump unfairly as much as many on iotwreport unfairly blast Cruz.

I was also afraid Kimmel would disrespect Ted Cruz and try and make an ass out of him.

Finally, I couldn’t take any more of the lobotomized skulls of cole slaw in the audience barking like trained seals.

  3. “Kimmel was uncomfortable with his ideas, saying that constant monitoring and surveillance on Muslims in America will make them anti-America and we’ll be fomenting more future terrorists.”

wait a minute, hold the phone, stop the bus, pull over I have to puke !!!!!
what the hell are all the intelligence agencies, justice department and irs doing to the “politically right” Americans right now?

isn’t kimmel afraid that the monitoring and political harassment of Americans will make them radical as well?

just what the hell is going on here?

is this an “instigating” admission of the game plan or a Freudian slip?

  4. Running over Trump got laughs. Ok I get it, but… “A campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment where the candidate urges supporters to engage in violence,” Sen. Cruz said.

I guess killing Trump and not just anybody makes double standards disappear
