Nebraska Republican State Senator Bill Kintner had some choice words on talk radio to rationalize his decision to vote towards killing a proposal which would protect LGBT individuals from discrimination in the state, saying that “men in dresses” don’t deserve protected class status.
The bill, LB 586, would have made it illegal for employers to fire someone because of their sexual identity, as current federal and state laws exclude this demographic. The bill was killed by a vote of 26-18.
“When I go to San Francisco, sometimes I’ve seen some pretty weird things there,” said Kintner during the floor debate, “And I’m not that comfortable in San Francisco. But you know the difference between conservatives and my friends on the left? When I’m not comfortable someplace I leave. I go somewhere I am comfortable, I move to the state I am comfortable. I like it.”

Omaha Sen. Ernie Chambers’ words have once again become the subject of controversy.
During legislative debate on a measure to prohibit job discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, a visibly frustrated Chambers explained why he’d watched much of the discussion from his downstairs office.
“If I was up here I’d probably pick these books up and start throwing them around,” he said. “If I was a white guy, I’d go get my semiautomatic weapon and come down here and mow everybody down.”

I haven’t paid much attention to the Libertarians this time ’round, though I voted for the Libertarian rather than Mittens last time.
I have an issue with the big “L” party’s open borders plank, but, I guess, at least they’re honest enough to openly embrace it vs the uniparty’s Kabuki theater act.
I consider myself a “Porcupine” libertarian. Stay out of other folk’s business, but national defense comes first.

The reason these laws are being pushed is that pedophile, zoophile, and necrophile are ‘sexual identities’, as is sexual exhibitionism.
