Anybody besides me remember the Cold War classic B&W white movie The Bedford Incident with Richard Widmark (and Sidney Poitier) playing a US Navy crazed obsessed Destroyer commander who starts a nuclear war by getting too close to a Russian sub he’s been chasing all over the North Atlantic. It’s a great movie if you’ve never seen it before.
At least he didn’t apologize for our ship sailing so recklessy close to the Russian bomber.

BTW, the movie, “The Bedford Incident” is fantastic. I’ve seen it a couple of times. It’s suspenseful and the iconic actors deliver great performances.
