Army Retains Green Beret Who Roughed Up Child Rapist in Afghanistan

TownHall: The Army on Thursday announced its decision to retain Sgt. 1stClass Charles Martland,

who was ordered discharged last year after he roughed up a local Afghan police commander for repeatedly raping a little boy and then beating his mother.

Outrage against the Army’s actions rightfully ensued after the incident, since the Green Beret had served honorably for more than 11 years and most would argue that taking a stand against a child rapist was the right thing to do, morally speaking.  read more

  1. Geez, and I thought I was wasting my time signing a petition in support of Sgt Markland. I’m glad to hear he has survived the Obama administration’s attempt to drive a soldier who is a fine example of traditional American values and attitudes out of the Army.

  2. The perfumed princes of the Army did not stand in Ash Carters way
    when Sgt. Martland was reprimanded and ordered out of the US Army.

    Shame on the upper echelon of gutless Army Generals.

    Kudos to the Congressman for standing tall and doing the right thing.
