NBC: The dogs are being rescued 11 weeks before a South Korean holiday when large amounts of dog-meat stew are consumed.
Until recently, Merle had never set a paw on solid ground, never felt the kind stroke of a human hand and never tasted a dog treat.
The mild-mannered mastiff mix was bred to become a South Korean dinner entree.
Is that the one Obama is a silent partner in?
The dogs are being “rescued”? They were raised as food animals, in a country where they are considered food animals.
This isn’t a rescue. It’s a theft of food.
Methinks the good liberals at NBC need to check their privilege, quit being ethnocentric racists, and accept that the cultures of other countries and races are just as valid as their own.

Dogs are eaten in Mexico. Growing up in San Diego a Mexican with 3 dogs was considered a rancher.
If you have been to the border towns in Mexico and ate there, there is a good chance you ate dog meat.

@harbqll – It just occurred to me that your comment is eminently thumb-worthy regardless of whether it is sarcasm/satire or not. Well done either way!
Now I’m waiting to hear about the Hindu rescue teams on their way to Texas and Nebraska…
If you don’t know how to do it, I’ll show you how to wok your dog.
@flip – No, thanks. I’m partial to Peke-kabob or Weimarauner Schnitzel.
