The European Commission is expected to recommend Turkish citizens be given full access at all Schengen area nations without the limitations of a visa.

The removal of restrictions is part of a deal with the Muslim nation to halt unchecked migration.

The Commission has to declare that Turkey is meeting 72 human rights criteria, which is a cynical lie given Erdogan’s track record of suppressing media freedom and arresting those who criticize the Turkish President.

The EU Parliament and Council of Ministers also have to approve the recommendation before it can go into effect by the June deadline laid down Turkey.

  1. To all you Brits out there across The Pond, who still have a last vestige of national pride and citizenship (not serfdom).

    VOTE YES ON BREXIT!!

  2. The Schengen open borders is taking a big hit these days. Walls are being built and fences put up across the region. Turkey might become EU, but visa-free travel isn’t what it was eighteen months ago.
