    What is the actual, practical difference between Trump talking like a conservative and governing like a RINO, and *every other GOPe candidate* doing the exact same thing?

    You could make the graphic, but it’s not factually correct.
    Nominating Trump is only a vote for Hillary when the right refuses to vote for Trump, which makes my graphic the factually correct one.

    You can try and argue your point until the cows come home, but you are simply wrong.

    If you don’t think most of your responsibility as a right-wing thinking individual is to block the left from getting into power, you’re part of the problem.

    If you think that Trump is MORE left-wing than Hillary, well, then, you have a screw loose or something else is going on with this hissy fit of yours that goes beyond rational thinking.

    Most of my adult life has been choosing the lever for the guy that is more right-wing than the opponent. It has hardly ever been for the perfect candidate that shares every one of my values.
    In fact, it has NEVER happened, including Reagan.
    The perfect candidate would be me.

    Why would I suddenly stop voting for the more right-wing candidate?
    Particularly NOW when the very fucking worst candidate possible is the one Trump is running against?

    If you don’t see that Trump is more right-wing than Hillary then I really don’t know what to say.

Trump supports single payer healthcare until he runs for prezzy. Trump as candidate calls W a liar about WMD so he could send kids to die so he could giggle about all the dead people as he wrote letters to their parents. Trump as a candidate supports a progressive tax system and raising taxes on the rich. Trump as a candidate supports amnesty so long as the future voter fills out a form. Trump as a candidate loves the work of PP and has their endorsement. Need I go on?

    said a while back that I had no problem voting for Cruz or Trump in the General. also said that by the time my state’s primary rolled around it wouldn’t matter … & it didn’t. congratulations to Trump, condolences to Cruz. I’ve always thought Cruz was a decent, fairly honest man as could be hoped for in a candidate. and, I have very grave misgivings about both these candidates. I have many questions of both that will not be answered to my satisfaction…. as in practically every candidate that I have ever voted for

    I didn’t (& still do not) appreciate, nor condoned the constant bashing of Trump by the Cruz supporters, as I did not condone the bashing of Cruz. both men have their flaws, as we all do. it does seem some of the ‘Cruzers’ cannot let it go.
    The race is over, reality is a bitch. we need to lick our wounds & focus on the task at hand. there is nothing more paramount then fighting against the third term of socialism in the next election …. because if a democrat is elected President in the General Election, it won’t be socialism any longer, it will turn to full opposition-eradicating communism.

    I guess Americans love and elect candidates who speaks in abstract slogans–you know, like “fundamentally change this country”, or “hope”, or ” make America great again”.
    I look at a GOP on the Hill that would love to put guys like Merrick Garland on the Supreme Court and be free of any obligation to a base who believes in the Constitution. Think jurists like Trump’s sister aren’t like Merrick Garland? Of course they are.
    Trump is, at the end of the day, one of them and will agree with them more than he’s going to disagree or go to war with them because for him, the deal is the most important thing.
    And wheeling and dealing is the lifeblood of the Hill.

    The refusing to discuss issues, name calling and general shouting down of opposing opinion has galvanized people against him.
    You guys created this problem, now you want to just go home and expect it to fix itself claiming that if it doesn’t fix itself it proves your actions were correct.
    By the way, I drive a lot every day and I have never seen a #nevertrump bumper sticker. The whole ‘movement’ is a fabrication designed to smear people with legitimate complaints about Trump.
    So keep it up. To reach your goal you still need to knock quite a few more people off your team.

  53. And how is this different from Trump thundering that if he loses the nomination he’ll run as an independent, then changing his mind to say he won’t run then changing his mind to say he might? Trump has started blood feuds within the GOP that will take years if not decades to heal. Trump is not going to win the Presidency and he (and a lot of his supporters knew this from the beginning) but he will get Hillary elected in a year that she shouldn’t have been able to be elected dogcatcher. I suspect he knew that as well.

  55. Here’s a little anecdote that is a bit off topic, but not entirely. I was up in Chicago last weekend to see a concert, and while discussing the upcoming election, a liberal in the group (he’s liberal, but not a leftist, apparently) stated that he just could bring himself to vote for Hillary. This is coming from a black man who has probably voted for democrats his whole life. Her lies, her failure as Secretary of State, her demeanor, and her voice were all factors in convincing this guy to vote for Trump over Hillary. Of course, that’s just a data point of one, but I have a gut feeling that he’s not alone. I think Trump is going to beat Hillary like a rented mule. Is Trump the best candidate? Well, he is now. Vote accordingly.

  62. I thing Trump will be successful in restoring some of the respect we used to get from other countries before 0bama started his international di*k sucking & bowing marathon. If not respect, fear. And that will be a huge improvement any way you look at it. I can’t think of any reason why he would not fully protect America. That right there is the opposite of Hillary or 0bama.

    There will be some regrets too, though, but I don’t think that should be mentioned least the dems might add them to their coming massive attacks against the Trump campaign. The Left will pull out all of the stops before this is over.
