Epic or Pathetic?

The AC/DC “Rock or Bust” tour continues on without their usual front man, Brian Johnson, who was sent home to protect what little hearing he has left.

Replacing Johnson for the final month of tour is none other than Guns & Roses Axl Rose, in a metal chair after breaking his foot.

Fans in the UK and Belgium have been demanding refunds on their concert tickets and the venues have obliged them.

Here’s a clip from last week’s performance in Lisbon. Would you want your ticket refunded or go enjoy the show? Watch

  1. I’m no fan of Axl Rose, after causing a riot at an outdoor venue in St. Louis in the late 90’s, but I give him credit here for helping the boys finish their tour.

The second article says all those refunded tickets were quickly sold again.

Make me wonder how much longer some of these traditional rock and roll acts can go on.

  2. I heard a clip from the tour on the radio yesterday, and I thought they were doing fairly well. ACDC not my fave anyway – but not bad. Also, the DJ said he was only 5 minutes late getting on stage – so at least Axl is showing the audience a little more respect.

  3. I’d watch them in concert if someone gave me a ticket. I went up to Chicago to see some death metal bands a couple weekends ago, and my ears are still ringing. I’m not into death metal, but my ticket was free, so I figured why not? It was fun, but all the bands’ vocals sounded like Cookie Monster.

  4. Last time I saw AC/DC was at The Monsters of Rock in Nuremberg Germany in 1985. They were the headliner of many bands and one of the best shows I remember for heavy metal.

I find it hard to watch aging artist. Sure sucks getting old.
