Fantasists Are Left With Nothing But Ratf*cking As Donald Trump Passes the 1237 Mark

Donald Trump has passed the 1237 delegate count. A perusal of the comment section on sites that are known as #NeverTrump encampments will show that there are people fantasizing about the GOP stepping in and simply negating the will of the people. They want rule changes in the final hour that will somehow allow Ted Cruz to walk out of the convention as the GOP nominee. They want the delegates to disregard their bound vote and go to round two and install Ted Cruz.

How would they react if Ted Cruz had 1237 delegates and Trump strong-armed his way to the nomination at the convention?

  1. I do not believe that Cruz will participate in any such attempt. He is young and has a long career ahead of him. If he got anywhere near it, his career would be over. If the GOP does pull this crap, Hillary will win easily. Get rid of Trump now and #NeverHilliary ceases to exist. Maybe that’s what the GOP elite want.

  2. Bad_Brad, Hugh Blewitt was on this morning, moaning about Trump and fluffing Gary Johnson, then he segued into a Brad Thor interview…

    :click:

I just check in each day to see if he’s regained brain-function. Same with Medved. And Erickson. Prognosis is not good.

  3. OMG! It’s been ages since I’ve visited therightscoop, but someone on another blog said they have gone batsh*t over there over DT reaching the magic number, so I went to check it out. Talk about going off the rails on a crazy train. Woooo Weeee! Delusional with a capital F.

Oh – and Brad Thor – so glad I never actually paid for one of his books. Checked one out from the library once and couldn’t even finish it. I guess he has a new book coming out. It’ll be interesting to see if his sales go way down over this.

  4. That’s fine. The more complaints there are, the more moaning there is, the more he doesn’t stand a chance…

the more likely we have President Trump!

    Keep bitching, bitches!

  5. Gladys, Years ago when I listened to Glenn Beck, I bought a Brad Thor book that Glenn was hawking. He made it sound like a page turning epoch work. I couldn’t wait to read it. The book was shallow crap! Seemed like it was written by a high schooler. I know it was just a commercial, but Glenn had Thor on the show. I just felt hoodwinked after that. At some point, my opinion of Glenn Beck changed. This incident contributed to my failing trust of him.

  6. Atta boy Trump. You make the Menderman boys laugh hard. Last night the eldest and I saw Trump on tv tell a heckler, “How old is this kid? He’s still in diapers!” Oh man. We LOST it! LOL!

  7. First off, I’ll vote for Trump because he’s better than Hillary or Bernie, but not by much. I held my nose and voted for McCain, and I held my nose and voted for Romney, and I’ll suppress my gag reflex and vote for Trump.

But Trump has no coherent policy. Today he’s anti-immigration, but where will he be tomorrow? Today he’s endorsed by the NRA, but in the past he’s been for gun control. He’s a deal maker, but isn’t that why we’re so mad at RINOs like Boehner and Ryan, for making deals with the DemocRATs? Has Trump even read the Constitution? He has actually benefited from eminent domain abuse. And he’s recently back-peddled his Supreme Court nominee list. He’s flip-flopped more than his hair in a tornado.

Not only has Trump never been to church (“Two Corinthians”), none of his staff knew enough (or had the courage) to correct their boss. Does he surround himself with yes-men?

But while Trump has no solid policy positions, all for Hillary’s policy positions are either bad or disingenuous, and all of Bernie’s policy positions are worse. So, once again I have to pick the lesser of evils. And even though I’ll vote for Trump in the national election, I’m voting for Cruz in the California primary.

If the GOP doesn’t start giving me candidates I want to vote FOR, I’m joining the National Constitution Party http://www.constitutionparty.com/

Betcha a nickel he never builds that wall.

  8. Someone left the screen door open again, I see.

Just so the trolls know — we Trumpsters have read every policy statement and you can too! http://www.donaldjtrump.com. The info is ‘hidden’ behind the tabs “Issues” (if you want to be spoon-fed a video in simple language from the man, himself) and “Positions” (If you are literate).

Also, you can listen to any stump speech he’s given since June, 2015. He’s given, on average, three speeches a day, usually six days per week since then. No fundraising dinners, lunches, breakfasts or cocktail parties, though. How weird, right?

Do I expect honesty from trolls? I’ll take ‘duh’ for 100.

  9. I know many of you are young, but do you really know the purpose of the convention and what goes on there?
First of all rule 38 allows delegates to vote their conscious. They are not bound, and past delegates who have done so have not been punished.
Even if they were punished, the RNC has been clear that they view all delegates as free agents, and if a rule is broken, it is a state rule and thus has no bearing on the results of the convention.
This issue happened as recently as Romney/McCain, and has happened often in the past.
Where it otherwise, a convention would be a waste of time except for cases where no candidate achieved a majority.
Is it likely that a large number of delegates would bolt on Trump? Not really. However, it IS likely that a certain amount will and if somehow he doesn’t get a majority, all hell is going to break loose.
That is why I have been blasting his leftward movement and all his supporters should be doing the same.
Consider this, 75% when you are technically the only name on the ballot is NOT the definition of broad success.

  10. @Geeknerd
“If the GOP doesn’t start giving me candidates I want to vote FOR, I’m joining the National Constitution Party”

Yeah, that’s been working out real well for us hasn’t it.

  11. Hey, BB — WA state 75.6% with 79% reporting. There will more counting as the mailed ballots are counted into the week. Those late mails were probably a lot of undecideds. Woo hoo!

Hope you have time to get involved in N. CA. It’s worth it. ~AA

  12. Abigail,

If I was a troll, I’d argue against anyone voting for Trump; didn’t I just say I’m voting for him in the general election?

But, for every policy position he’s taken in the speeches you mention, there is evidence of him taking the exact opposite position in the past. And you won’t find it on any pro-Trump website.

Mark my words. Trump will backtrack on every one of his issues with which you and I currently agree. There will be no wall, no restrictions on Muslim immigrants, no repeal of Obamacare, no reduction in taxes or regulations, no repeal of Common Core, etc. ad nausium.

But at least we won’t replace Obamacare with Hillarycare, the monster she produced during her husband’s reign. Or will we? Trump used to support the Clintons.

I hope to God I’m wrong and Trump turns into a president of which I can be proud, but I fear Trump will be to Cruz what Arnold was to McClintock after we kicked out Gray Davis out here in Kalifornia. I’ll wait to read the apologies from all the pro-Trump conservatives after he shows his true colors.

I wish you, and my country, all the best.

  13. This is a comment on a site that is devout in their #NeverTrump stance.
    >>>

It is still our duty to go out and convince people to vote for Trump’s opponent or opponents.

  14. We just watched Trump’s press conference in North Dakota, if you want to see what a president Trump looks like watch it. He answered more questions in the first 20 minutes than bo does in a full press conference. Good questions and good answers.

  15. i like this site= momma told me to never believe all that I heard but look
for answers elsewhere. so I keep looking. you people are all great and I get answers. have a good day 🙂

  16. Fur — regarding the quoted anti-Trump site comment: Now, can anyone here understand why Trump voters were incensed when those “true conservative” anti-Trumpers called *us* not conservative enough? “True Conservatives”, pushing for Crooked Clinton and Crazy Bernie? Yeah, they are.

  17. I have a friend who’s obsessed with Rubio. He posts rubio crap on FB all the time. He’ll never let go.

On an unrelated note — I just got an A in a Mexican-American history class. I had to take the class to meet the schools ethnic studies requirement. The professor is a devout commy, who also works for the city of San Francisco. She took responsibility for the recent police chief firing.

Anyways, the ironic thing was I was the only white guy in class full of Mexican-Americans who got an A. And I challenged her (the professor), every class. Admittedly I was tactful about it.

  18. Abigail,

Where is Trump on transgender? Last I hear he was for transgender using any facilities, including your daughters’ shower room at the Ymca, school. public beach, public pool, and on and on.

I have just looked at his site — zip. This issue should be at the top of the list for every conservative.

  19. Zonga, one of the few things he has been consistent with is this LBGLSMFT crap. His support for it hasn’t changed over time.
It’s one of the few issues he can’t get away with speaking out of both sides of his mouth on.

  20. Zonga,

He has, rightfully, I believe, said this is a state’s right (10 A.) issue. Yes, he publicly said he didn’t care if a transgender uses whichever bathroom they want at Trump Tower. As the building’s owner, he apparently has that right. Other than that, I don’t know what to tell you. My personal view is that Trump knows this is a throwaway social issue that is being used by the Left to try to derail a conservative win in ’16, just like D’s made gay marriage *the* issue in the ’00/’04 races. It is at best a distraction from Clinton’s scandals and Sander’s tax plan.

I know this is a big issue for you, Zonga, and I don’t mean (at all) to minimize it. It’s not a big issue for me, so I am not scandalized by Trump’s stance (or no stance) on it. If my child was still in elementary/high school, I wouldn’t wait for a president to weigh in on it, I would fight like a mama wolverine to crush a noisy minority on the issue, locally. I would encourage you and your friends to get involved locally — that’s where all politics start and end. Otherwise, as a practical matter, my family almost never use sketchy public restrooms anyway. There are other concerns with using public restrooms — even school restrooms, including sexual predators, drug use in them, and being generally unsanitary.

What do “every conservative”(s) have to say about the issue? I’m curious. Did any of the other R candidates make explicit statements about it?

I know that Cruz was quoted in today’s Dallas Morning News along with Cornyn. I think it’s easy(er) for someone to make a bold statement about this issue if they are no longer on the stump trying to defend themselves from the Left wing media and the Mother of All Sexually Confused (killery). To get in the weeds over this would be a bad move on Trump’s part. We would spend the entire summer listening to this, wall-to-wall, on every media outlet. Gah!

You need to call Paul Ryan and the other 46 Republicans who voted ‘yea’ on the transgender discrimination bill just yesterday(?) They let obama get away with it again! Just bowing down to obama! Trump didn’t have anything to do with that vote. Paul Ryan, that bastion of “true conservatism” and his cronies in congress are trying to leave as big a mess as possible before next January’s inaugural.

    http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/2016/05/sen-cornyn-joins-transgender-bathroom-debate-blasts-president-obamas-public-schools-directive.html/

  21. What do I gotta do to prove I’m not a troll or a #NeverTrump whiner, just a reluctant Trump voter? I’m a troll because I don’t think Trump is the best thing that ever happened to the GOP?

I will NEVER vote for Hillary or Bernie, and anybody who does is a fool. I just wish we had a constitutionalist on the ticket, not another deal-maker like Ryan and Boehner, but we fight with the army we got. Since Trump has the nomination clinched, my vote for Cruz in the Kalifornia primary is moot, about as useful as a kickstand on a tank.

Trump isn’t an Establishment Republican (yay!), but he isn’t a TEA Party Republican, either (boo!). And since Trump became the presumptive nominee, I’ve heard that the Establishment types are gloating over the TEA Party types in DC.

Hold Trump’s feet to the fire. DEMAND that he start building that wall on his first day in office. Every day ask why he hasn’t done the things we want him to do. Don’t ever give him a pass when he flip-flops.

Just google “Trump Flip Flop” and read. I admit his alleged flip-flop on “Half a Wall,” H1-B visas, and reaching out to American Muslims aren’t really flip flops.

Cue Living Colour’s “Cult of Personality.”

  22. @Geeknerd —

“Cue Living Colour’s ‘Cult of Personality'” ??

That is your viewpoint of Trump. It is not the viewpoint shared by those of us who have discerned (emphasis added) over the nearly year-long assessment of the guy and like what we see there. Cult of personality? You have just accused a majority of Americans who voted for him of being of the same stripe as obama’s ‘bots.’ Surely, you cannot wonder at what sort of reception you’ll get for that. I’m a conservative woman who is a registered “I” because I can’t stand the Republicans — for the same reasons I cannot stand the Democrats. I’m not a party girl. And the last thing I would do is join a cult.

And I am hard core enough to say that anyone who, at this point, wants to stir up dissent in the ranks just so they will not suffer the personal disappointment of not having their every mood and need satisfied by Trump at some point in the vague future is no better than a buck private bad-mouthing their platoon leaders on the eve of battle. In other words, we are at a real war against real combatants. Be unhappy later if you must. Trump is our candidate now. Or, if you really believe he’s not the guy, vote for the other side.

  23. @JohnS — Boot-licker? No.

But I do thank you for finally identifying yourself in your own words — malcontent. Such an apt description, too. Malcontents are never about solutions; they just like to stir the pot and belly-ache over trivia; generally because they are attention-seeking narcissists who have mommy issues — never weaned from the titty.

  24. Abigail,

Putting boys in school girls’ shower, locker rooms and bathrooms is HUGE. I am disappointed in you. Apparently because you have no small children you think you have no obligation to press the subject with Trump. Remember, it was an announcement from the president who got this rolling. Every conservative worth a dime should send letters, emails and phone calls to TRUMP our hero. Congress too, your county school board as well.

Don’t try and minimize this Abigail, you are wrong.

If Trump doesn’t call the president on this THERE IS NO HOPE LEFT FOR WESTERN CIVILIZATION. yes it is that intrusive, that much of a thread to children, their innocence and privacy must be protected, women privacy. And not only that, transgender people are mentally ill.

If you Trump people don’t get this then you are brain dead and willing to support a man with no moral compass. TAKE THAT!

  25. It seems like only yesterday … maybe last year … the ship was listing to Port – and the Captain, twiddling his balls, screamed hard a-Port! I said “Captain, we can’t turn a-port when the ship’s listing that way!” But he said, looking upward into the tormented sky, “Port! Mr. Robinette! Or you’ll go below with the rest of the rabble!” The crew had been plagued by suspicion and ennui for weeks, and the Captain had sealed them in the hold. They were a listless, filthy lot – gnashing their teeth and rending their garments – speaking in riddles while scratching the flesh from their legs – the hold smelled of fear, disease, and death. No mutiny had been in the air, only the desire to push on. When of a sudden, out of the Nor’East, a tempest had been detected … small at first … and inarticulate … a booming thunder amid flashes of lightning! In anticipation the ship had been ransacked – all stores and everything of value thrown overboard – and rats manned the stations. As the storm drew near the Captain called out – with no respect of God or Man – and declared “You can take my ship! But she’ll never be seaworthy, again! From Hell’s Heart, I stab at thee! To Hell will I carry thee!” And then he laughed maniacally, promising to bring all the demons of Hell into the ship, to make it uninhabitable for man or beast. He swore to loose the savage musselmen, the heathen Chinese, the termites, the scabies, the worms that chew the hull, to make a desert and call it “Peace!”

“Trumpeting Tempest! If I cannot be Master – None shall be! This shall be a vile, contemptible, stinking garbage scow of feral cries, distemper, and mistrust!” he screeched from the Bridge.

Alas! The Trumpeting Tempest comes! The old Dreadnought will not be fit for the lowest scurvy landlubber. We’r taking on water, now, and only a few of the crew have the heart left to bail – and that few are berated and abused while they go about their futile duties. The Captain clings to the Helm, always pushing to Port – away from safety – away from sanity.

  26. @Abigail,

I don’t accuse all Trumpsters of having a cult of personality, just those who insult me and call me a troll when I express my misgivings about the man.

As I said before I’LL VOTE FOR TRUMP BECAUSE HILLARY AND BERNIE ARE WORSE. Cruz would have been better, but that’s water under the bridge. Coulda, woulda shoulda.

If I must accept Trump as the best man for the job, then I would indeed be part of the cult of personality. Just pray I never have to say, “Tolda so.”

    Be well

  27. @Zonga —

You wrote: “If you Trump people don’t get this then you are brain dead and willing to support a man with no moral compass. TAKE THAT! ”

Again, this is your biggest issue, not mine. I don’t know what else to say. Sorry you find me a disappointment. I don’t think there can only be one big issue, but this doesn’t come close to the top for me. And again, if you want to write/text/tweet Trump and his campaign about it, you should. I will say that this is exactly the kind of feedback they are seeking. I know, because I just spent the past two weeks calling into voters to ask their opinions. It wasn’t easy, either.

I’m not brain dead, either. That’s a disgusting insult. And ‘moral compass’? That’s not even fair, really. He’s already said he believes this is a states’ rights matter. What more do you want? If he said he wants the feds to decide this, then he’s accused of being anti-constitutional (and so are his voters). Jeeze Louise.

Look, me and my family don’t even go walking around neighborhoods we used to feel 100% safe in just a few short years ago. The homeless in Seattle walk into the middle of the street and pee in the middle of commute traffic. There is subsidized housing for addicts, now, just a few blocks down the hill from some of the most expensive neighborhoods in my area. We’ve got a communist in city hall and our state prosecutor won’t even get involved with a recent revelation that muslims on state welfare have been carting millions of dollars in cash through SeaTac airport and back to their ‘people’ in the ME. Mexican drug cartels light up the west coast like Christmas, Boeing (birthplace Seattle, WA) has sold their cutting edge technology rights in exchange for building a plant in China (the country who puts atomized plastics in food products), and all of a sudden there’s a demand that transgender ‘rights’ is the most important thing in the world? I already told you I didn’t want to minimize your ‘voice’, Zonga, but you’re not going to chicken little me into caring about who takes a bath or a piss and where they do it.

  28. Abigail,
Your attitude supports child abuse, child endangerment.
In your book it’s OK that a 9 year old girl to be government mandated to be exposed to male genitalia.

I give up. You are dead to me.

  29. Zonga — Dead to you? Dead to you? How very funny that statement is.

Go out and fight, damn it! Get off your butt and push back the keyboard, get on the phone, write an editorial, call the R’s in congress who just passed a transgender ‘rights’ bill! But for God’s sake, don’t turn me into your stupid whipping post, your lightning rod for all your drama queen angst!

My attitude supports child abuse? Piss off. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

  30. IF YOU TRUMP SUPPORTERS ARE NOT WILLING TO LIFT A FINGER TO
MAKE YOUR CANDIDATE PROTECT CHILDREN AND WOMEN FROM FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MANDATED INVASION OF THEIR PRIVACY AND SAFETY YOU ARE DEAD TO ME.

THIS TRANSGENDER SHIT IS AN EDICT COMING DOWN FROM THE PRESIDENT, THE FEDERAL DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, THE FEDERAL DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, THE FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

THE PRESIDENT STARTED THIS, TRUMP MUST MUST ADDRESS THIS DIRECTLY WITH THE PRESIDENT, DIRECTLY WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

STATES RIGHTS IS A COP OUT AND YOU KNOW IT.

  31. ABIGAIL YOU ARE A STUPID ASS TO SAY THAT TO ME. I HAVE DONE ALL THAT AND YOU WOULD KNOW IT IF YOU HAD READ MY POSTS ABOUT IT.

I HAVE NEVER CALLED ANYONE HERE A BAD NAME BUT YOU DESERVE TO BE LABELED A STUPID ASS ABIGAIL.

FUCK OFF AND DIE WITH ALL YOUR BULLSHIT

  32. Zonga — “FUCK OFF AND DIE…” ??

You sound exactly like a marxist progressive who defends abortion one minute and says “it’s for the children” the next. You’re worried about child abuse but you haven’t really done anything about your pet issue, either, have you? That’s what is making you so angry, isn’t it? You’ve done nothing but sit at a keyboard and preen about your cause. Go out and do something. Anything. You’ll feel a lot better for it.

I’m doing all I can — all that time allows me — every day, to defeat the Left and keep them out of the gov’t. You sit here complaining about transgendered use of facilities and all you’ve done — today, anyway — is accuse others of not doing something about it. Roll up your own sleeves, pull of your own damn socks and get busy. There is certainly enough to go around for everyone to be involved. I have never read anything about your contribution on your cause.

Name calling? Your first response to me was that I was “brain dead.” I guess that doesn’t count in your book.

  33. AA, I am far from a malcontent.
I was referring to what you posted, not myself.
However, were I to chose between being a toady or bootlicker like yourself or being a malcontent, I would pick malcontent.
Though I would never consider being one, your type serves a purpose. The uniparty needs loyal drones willing to abandon all principles just to belong.

  34. @JohnS — I can tell from what you write that you have never been in an honorable, though subordinate, position that requires you give up your selfish pride and need to have your superior and special opinion heard. An army is not an aggregate of people, it moves as a unified whole. It is only successful if everyone understands their place in the ranks. Same for a rugby scrum — any sports team for that matter. Not saying we can’t or shouldn’t have opinions. Am saying that if the rest of the team is required to listen to everyone’s opinions and not listen to what the leaders are saying what we need to do to win, we’re going to be left standing in the middle of the road arguing over crap while the enemy outflanks us and wins. Your assertion that I or anyone else has no ‘principles’ is a load of unnecessary crap and you are welcome to straggle in the rear while the army moves out on its mission. So if you want to run for office and be a leader who inspires the people to vote for you, I’ll consider your platform. Otherwise you’re just another armchair quarterback to me.

  35. Zonga. What state do you live in? Who are your reps, have you called them, have you gone to your school board meetings, have you written letters to your local paper, have you called your local TV and radio stations and complained to all of the people that right now can do something about your one complaint about Trump, he is a candidate and has nothing to do with the edicts now being shoved down our throats. For you to attack Abigal a long time commenter on iOTW just because she did not give the answer you were looking for is unbecoming of another veteran of iOTW. You need to get a grip and direct your anger somewhere else. My question to you is why is this most important and burning issue of all the myriad problems we have have facing our country?

  36. Zonga, ZOMG!!1!

We really need to work on your diplomatic persuasion techniques. I know the fed govt admin drive into our children’s restrooms, locker rooms, showers, etc., is THE issue for you. I respect that and in large measure agree with you¹.

Abigail Adams is “guilty” of no more than not sharing the order of your prioritized list of what to be incensed about. It is clear that she is, indeed, incensed about what is happening to American society and values, as you are yourself. Her simple statement that she has other concerns that she has decided to spend her efforts on does not warrant the absolute condemnation that you have issued. This even falls under our Jeffersonian right to pursuit of happiness – it is our individual right to act as we see fit to further our interests as we see them at the time of action.

I hope this blows over. I like and approve of both your comments and contributions here and for this to be an irrevocable split is dreadful to contemplate. I hope there is some way to mend this fence.

    Sincerely and respectfully,
    Uncle Al

    1. Anybody who has been reading my rants and raves will recognize this:

Any parents who send their kids to govt indoctrination centers are mighty close to being child molesters.

I believe that the first and worst statist attack on families and individual responsibility and independence was the introduction of Prussian-model govt schools and coercing attendance. This most recent deviant-supportive push for allowing boys in girls’ facilities, and vice versa, is terrible, but is also just more of what was initiated more than 150 years ago.

  37. AA I in no way meant to disparage your extensive experience in the US Army. My oldest son is a member of that honorable group.
However, once you step out as a civilian, trying to structure civilian life around your Army experience will lead you to either becoming a hive person (as appears the case) or frustrated and bitter.
    I have seen both outcomes.
Luckily most end up seamlessly transiting to civilian life and adapting to the seeming lack of structure.
I don’t expect you to be other than what you are, I only fault you for attacking others for being comfortable with the chaos that exists outside of the service.

  38. @JohnS — Whoa there, chief! Whole lotta assumptions going on. I’ve never been in the army. And you just used the stereotype that people who have been in the army are mindless numbskulls who wouldn’t know what to do unless someone told them. LOL!

You are welcome to address the rest of my comment — the most important part.

  39. @Uncle Al —

    Really appreciate your comments.

I’m not worried about Zonga and what she wrote. I realize that tensions are high and passions run deep. She’s asked me, particularly, though, about this issue before. I’m not sure why except that perhaps because I have been an outspoken Trump supporter/voter, she feels the need to call me out on his view of the issue and questions how I can in good conscience support him because of it. My honest opinion is that I believe Trump can’t stand the idea of sexual confusion or people who are obviously mentally ill having a say in something like bathroom and school shower use. But I think — and this is just my opinion — that he sees it as a Tar Baby issue; one that plays into the Left’s hands like the so-called Black Lives Matter mess. The Left knows that if they can get him wrestling around on the ground with them over this stuff, they will drive the issues narrative. These nut job issues are all they’ve got.

Geoff C. and I have been active in Trump’s campaign and, believe me, we’ve heard it all! LOL! I don’t take personal attacks, personally. If that makes sense.

My own view and priorities are national security/illegals/Syrian refugees/ISIS, economy/debt/corporate repatriation, veterans/military strength, getting rid of obamacare. But we can’t do any of it without Trump winning.

If my kids were school age (non-college), I wouldn’t have them in a state school, and probably not in a private non-Christian school, either. They come out worse than dumb; they come out indoctrinated.

  40. Such drama!

I’ve never liked Trump. But the guy says we’re going to win! In my near 50 years, I’ve never heard a politician say we’re going to win.

Further, he has time for the National Anthem! Another first!

He’s most likely a goof, but he’s a patriotic goof. Again, something I’ve never seen in politics before.

  41. Fur, I’m confused. Why do some of the comments appear on a pink background?

Does it mean that the commenter is a sissified wussy?

Does it mean that Mr. Pinko endorsed the comment?

Is something disastrously wrong with the color function on my tablet?

    Do tell!

  42. Old Oaks – I don’t know if you mean you are 50 years old or following politics for 50 years… it really doesn’t matter, but I agree. My first President was Eisenhower and I have never seen the likes of this before either, but then I never thought I would ever see the likes of Barrack Hussein Obama and a party and a White House full of Commie enablers in my lifetime! We are in serious times and if this patriotic goof can accomplish 5% of what he says he can he’s still 1,000 time better than the criminal business partner of Bill Clinton, or a life-long, card-carrying Communist, or a crayon-eating, window licking, alcoholic VP or a fake Indian! This is like living in Toon Town! The path we’re on and the path the defecRats want to keep us on is a dead end street to a Venezuela like disaster! It has to be stopped right here, this year.

  43. Why would you (yeah, I’m stuck on this) thumbs down instead of, you know, actually, like, you know, literally, confront, like, the commenter, with words?

I’m really triggered with this nonsense.

    🙂

  44. GFY, my color of highlight is yellow. Ages ago that meant that a comment engendered a certain number of thumbs. I believe this iteration of the program, it’s 6 (total, either TU or TD).

But I like old_oaks answer better!!

  45. Re: comments colors, Chinese

From a combination of empirical observation and one comment from BFH, here’s what’s what.

The plugin he’s using for up- and down-voting is Chinese. Works like a champ, but… When a comment has been voted down six, I think, or more times, those Chinese characters appear. They are a link, though, and if you click on them you will see the comment. The English translation is,** Score is too low, the content is hidden **. If there are enough up votes along with the down votes, the comment appears but with a pink background.

On the plus side, if there are enough up votes, six or more I think, the comment appears with a yellow background.

    Yellow=good. Pink=bad.
    Inscrutable Chinese! HAHAHAHAAAHAAHAAA!

    HTH
