“We cover a small table with a white cloth to honor a soldier’s pure heart when he answers his country’s call to duty. We place a lemon slice and grains of salt on a plate to show a captive soldier’s bitter fate and tears of families waiting for loved ones to return. We push an empty chair to the table for the missing soldiers who are not here. We lay a black napkin for the sorrow of captivity, and turn over the glass for the meal that won’t be eaten. We place a white candle for peace. And finally a red rose in a vase tied with a red ribbon for the hope that all our missing will return someday. You are not forgotten so long as there is one left in whom your memory remains.”

Beautiful! I wonder what Starbucks will be doing for this occasion?
To borrow one of the best sentiments ever written, it is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. Well done, C-f-A.
Amazing! No wonder the lines at this eatery are so long; this is the CLASS and morality that permeates their product, employees, and customers. Thank you.
Fitting display, visual and silent reverence moves beyond words.
Well done,
As soon as I leave this note I am finding every Chick Fil-a in Arizona, and they will be plagued with my repeated custom.
Ya might wanna hold off on that for a day Laz –
They’re not open on Sundays.
Good food, good people, good everything!
I go there at least once a month. I’d go more often, but I’m supossed to stay away from fried foods.
This is beautiful, and just right. I obviously care more about our war dead than about Freddy Gray, Michael Brown, Eric Garner.
not to long ago this would of been normal.we have come along way.
I think I’m going to chick-fil-a for lunch today.
Good thing there is no CFA in Portlandia or some jackass would deface it.
Damn, it got dusty here all of a sudden.
I’ll have to go there on Monday. . . if they’re open.
My granddaughter works at CFA now while she’s in HS. Proved to me the caliber of their hirees and the caliber of the company.
Stupid me, the nearest CFA is in the middle of goof central and I rarely go up there. But as mentioned above, I headed up to grab some lunch. I totally forgot they’re closed on Sundays.
@old_oaks:
LOL, they’re righteous Christians so of course they were closed today. Google or call tomorrow before you leave the house.
Whenever you get there please eat an extra sammich for me. I would love to get my lunch there every single day, but there isn’t one in my work neighborhood.
