A longitudinal study of children raised by same-sex parents found that while they come through their teen years seemingly well adjusted, when they hit adulthood there is a dramatic mental health shift.
While adult children raised in traditional families report a decline in incidents of depression to under 20 percent, more than half of those raised in same sex households report depression.
“Children of same-sex parent also reported more violence, having a parent slap, hit or kick them, or saying “things that hurt your feelings or made you feel you were not wanted or loved,” or “touched you in a sexual way, forced you to touch him or her in a sexual way, or forced you to have sexual relations.”
