IJ– British runner Lynsey Sharp seemed to hint at injustice at the 2016 Olympic Games.
This injustice? Female athletes being forced to compete against so-called “intersex athletes,” meaning women who don’t fit traditional binary gender roles.
These women sometimes have much higher testosterone levels than average females — something referred to as hyperandrogegism.
One such athlete is South African Caster Semenya, who ended up winning the race that Lynsey Sharp finished sixth in.
Now, another British runner has inserted himself into the controversy, agreeing with that sentiment.
Sprinter Nigel Levine issued a tweet that praised Sharp for finishing “third” in the women’s 800 meters race, when, as stated above, she actually finished sixth.
The inference was that three of the competitors, including Semenya, were not “real women” and, therefore, not real competitors.

Also, if there is no difference between men and women, how come there are no women sneaking into men’s events to gain an advantage?

First of all no one is “forcing” you to compete. Second of all I’ll bet most of you female runners take a liberal positions so stew in your own karma. HA HA HA HA HA!

Fact is, extreme exercise increases testosterone in women. take a look at the others. Pretty faces but masculine musculature.

No doubt that I would think those top 3 were men if I met them.
I also wouldn’t care how much they prove or protest they aren’t. They would still be men to me.
If the 21st century is to bear the fruits of “equal pay for equal work”, “no artificial barriers to entry”, “gender is just a social fiction”, etc., that were planted way back in the 20th century, then shouldn’t the Olympics just be “everybody line up over there, and wait for the jazz hands,” (we don’t want to trigger anybody) “and the winner is whoever crosses that line, over there, first”? Why is gender segregation tolerated in modern sports, as though it were a backward religion? How can we tolerate the stain unfairly tainting the accomplishments of women who could have exceeded the accomplishments of any man competing that day, had they not been denied the opportunity by only being allowed to compete in segregation?
