Good Question- Teen Charged With Murder After Killing Her 2-Pound Premature Baby. How Is This Different From Abortion?

The obvious answer, to the question that’s not really being asked, is that you can’t get an abortion in Nebraska when the baby is 7 months in the womb, so that’s why Nebraskans can call this murder.

But, realistically, how is this murder any different than the abortions performed in the states where an abortion at 28 weeks can be performed?

Why is throwing a 3rd trimester baby out the window a tragedy in Nebraska, but tasking someone in New Jersey to cut up your 3rd trimester baby with scissors, while it’s still inside you, is hailed as a celebratory “choice”?

Makes no sense, morally, logically, realistically.

  1. You can spin, twist, debate and argue all you want. Once that baby was thrown from the second story window that, in my opinion, was murder. How does comparing legal abortion, right or wrong, even justify this act as debatable?

  2. @Blink,
I would say it thus: On Judgement Day, do you suppose the excuse that ‘the law said it was ok to murder someone’ would influence your fate?

People really need to think hard about whose Authority they will answer to.

  3. Murder is murder. A mother has no more right to kill the baby in her womb than the father does. Evil people have made murder legal, based on the slippery notion that a human isn’t a human until a certain gestational period, which varies from state to state.

This is what happens when you reject God’s fundamental laws and replace them with man-made laws……

  4. I always start the abortion debate with a new person with “is it a dog, is it a cat, or is it a giraffe (with extra emphasis on giraffe)?” With a good 5-10 second pause almost always I can see the wheels turning and then if they are pure evil with a cold heart the eyes show the mental gymnastics start trying to pretzel twist the “it’s just a clump of tissue”. Intentionally interrupting (but not rudely like Kaine) I ask “but is it dog tissue, cat tissue, or giraffe tissue?” No matter how “sold out for human sacrifice” they are they always have to admit it’s human.
Calling the clinics “abortuaries” also adds a nice long lasting impression on them as well.
