People are, thoughtfully, asking for updates on the hurricane

Everyone can see the overall impact of the hurricane on the tee vee, and our prayers go out to anyone that has been detrimentally impacted.

But as far as impact to my immediate surroundings? It seems Hurricane Matthew was Hurricane Assange.

Please don’t take my flippant quip to mean the hurricane itself was no big deal because it didn’t impact me personally. This was a lethal hurricane, and people should always heed emergency warnings. But the inland portions of Port St. Lucie were spared. Power and internet are on as of now.

Now I have to figure out if all the roads are clear to GET BACK!

In summary, it seems, just like the Hillary wikileaks, I was up all night and nothing happened.

Has there ever been a hurricane Hillary?

  1. It wasn’t quite Hurricane Assange.

I just saw a headline on Fox reporting that there had been a “storm-related death” in…drumroll please…St. Lucie County !!
    So don’t be smug.

  2. The intensity of natural disasters is in direct inverse proportion to Shep Smith’s hysteria.

“You and your children will die!”

It’s not even raining here in Tampa and my kids in ATL and CA are still alive.

  3. Well I am inland and the surrounding towns of Oviedo like Winter Springs and Sanford have no power. But it does seem damage is not to bad but than again they were expecting the Hurricane to travel further west when it reached this area.

  4. Desparately want an update from you, BFH:
Did you run out of beer?
    Was it still cold beer?
How were the snacks and munchies? was the bowl full enough?
Did the co-eds stop wearing bikinis because of the _____ (fill in the blank)?
Where you refused a tee time?
    Did the Zika mosquitos leave?
    Inquiring minds need to know.

  5. Happy to hear you fared well. I am a great fan and am currently in my deplorable basket in Lake Mary, FL. We did not lose power and unfortunately my husband stayed home from work and I am marathon watching his choices on Netflix. Oops power just flickered better push send.

  6. But, in the Hurricane Opera isn’t the storm surge after the high winds and rain have mostly departed the fat lady singing. Could be that worst is yet to arrive and the show isn’t over yet.

From the wisdom of the great Yogi Berra – It aint over till it’s over.
