Yes, Ford Says Trump DID Influence Them To Keep Plants in Kentucky

NeverTrump sites are saying that Trump had nothing to do with Ford’s decision to keep plants in Kentucky and not move to Mexico.

Too bad Ford says differently.

(They so, so, sooooo want Trump to do badly it’s making them look like disgruntled shitebags.)

Ford Motor Company has confirmed President-elect Trump’s Thursday night statement that it would keep a vehicle production in Kentucky and said it was “encouraged” by his economic policies.

“Today, we confirmed with the President-elect that our small Lincoln utility vehicle made at the Louisville Assembly Plant will stay in Kentucky. We are encouraged that President-elect Trump and the new Congress will pursue policies that will improve U.S. competitiveness and make it possible to keep production of this vehicle here in the United States,” Ford said in a statement.

  1. Every protest and every sissy-fit, along with the continued, outrageous, transparently bias-based misreporting of the MSM, enhances not only the presidential class of Trump, but holds up to the public that the right person was elected!!!

At the same time, the horrorible, classless
behavior of the current, usurper president stands out like the sore loser that he is.

Soon, not soon enough, the time for Obama honoring himself will be up! Hooray!

  2. What is this obsession with Never Trump? They’re like a toothache — a temporary condition. Dr. Trump just drilled out the decay, filled the tooth and now we can chew on that side of our mouth again. We don’t go around telling everyone about how awful our tooth hurt a while back.

Fur, what is it about Never Trump that you want to have happen?

  3. “They so, so, sooooo want Trump to do badly it’s making them look like disgruntled shitebags.”

It’s not making them ‘look’ like that’s what they are. That IS what they are.

  4. If we are waiting for Never Trump to admit they were wrong I think we’re at the wrong bus stop. That bus doesn’t run on this line. Never Trump’s signage was a ploy for deep-in-their-heart globalists who wanted a RINO. They didn’t care if their RINO candidate lost to Killery — it was all the same to them. So that when Trump looked like he could actually win this thing, they openly stumped for their candidate of choice and they not only won’t admit they were wrong, they have no reason to think they were wrong.

  5. If you look at writers like Rick Wilson at the Daily Beast, you can see that the likes of him and people like Bill Kristol and others are so in love with their own opinions and vitriolic word-craft, the only place for them to go is lower. They are sincerely and utterly and absolutely convinced that Trump is as bad for the country as obama was — probably worse. Somewhere in their limbic system exists flawed DNA they believe points them to the True North of “Real Conservatism.” It is impossible to convince them otherwise.

I won’t link it, but just go to Daily Beast and read the horseshit Wilson writes about under this title: “The Task Now for Conservatives: Hope for the Best, Assume the Worst, Rebuild Our Movement
The voters spoke. I was wrong. I still think Trump’s going to be a disastrous president. Real conservatives will need to pick up the pieces.”

Wilson believes himself and his cohort to be the only “real conservatives” left alive on the planet and only they are capable of restoring True Conservatism to our nation. But who among them ran for office? Who was their candidate? Yes. The People have spoken.

  6. Ford used to build a car, a fusion?, that got 55 miles per gallon on diesel and 27-35 mpg on ethanol based gasoline and they built it in Mexico but couldn’t sell it in the USA because of the EPA (California)….They sold it in Europe…….Close the loop, completely castrate the EPA, close the ethanol plants and use corn for food, make all or most vehicles diesel. They get near 1/2 better milage and last maybe 2/3rds longer if properly aspirated…..One word for you Benjamin, DIESEL!…

  7. Amazing what the threat of a 35% import tariff can work on corporate policy.

    Steve Bannon:
“I’m not a white nationalist, I’m a nationalist. I’m an economic nationalist,” he told the Hollywood Reporter. “Like [Andrew] Jackson’s populism, we’re going to build an entirely new political movement.

“It’s everything related to jobs … It will be as exciting as the 1930s, greater than the Reagan revolution — conservatives, plus populists, in an economic nationalist movement,” he said.

“The issue now is about Americans looking to not get fucked over,” he said.

  8. Fur, yes, I did ask you that question. But then I realized from your earlier post about eating crow that you want them to apologize for their trashing Trump. And they aren’t going to do it. Some of them have and will ‘evolve’– meaning they won’t apologize, but will try to make it look like there was something else about his presidency or himself that made them change their minds. Those who voted for Trump because they said they like Pence are many of those who ‘evolved.’ But from what I’m reading by die-hard Never Trumpers, they will never change their minds and have no reason to apologize. It makes no difference to repeatedly point out to them that their assumptions and allegations are wrong. That’s why I brought up Wilson at the Daily Beast. All their mud has been debunked or hasn’t got any traction, so now they just make it up as they go along. Really trashy stuff, too.

The only way to fight them is for Trump to be successful and it seems he’s well on his way already. What do you think should be done?

  9. Fur, maybe this would make a good individual post, asking the question “What should be done, if anything, about Never Trump?” Maybe then we could all have a discussion on who Never Trump is now and what can or should be done to push back on them. Might be pretty lively.

  10. Would be very interesting to have a Never Trump personality bring the debate to IOTWr. It would be incredible, actually. I don’t think we could keep any decorum, though.
