BigJournalism:Newly appointed White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon chided Fox News in an interview Friday, claiming the cable news network’s coverage of the 2016 presidential election was just as bad as that of progressive media outlets and predicting the conservative-oriented outlet would move toward a more “centrist” approach in the coming years.
In an exclusive interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Bannon — who is advising President-elect Donald Trump as he makes key appointments and fills Cabinet positions and will serve as a senior counselor in the White House — said that Fox News’s coverage of the election “got it more wrong than anybody.”
“Rupert [Murdoch] is a globalist and never understood Trump,” Bannon told THR. “To him, Trump is a radical. Now they’ll go centrist and build the network around Megyn Kelly.”
Bannon also recalled for the outlet that when former network chief Roger Ailes called to defend Megyn Kelly after the star anchor tussled with Trump during the first GOP primary debate, Bannon warned Ailes that Kelly would soon turn on him too. read more
Karl Rove is still flouncing on his day bed gorging on a ham and cheese with extra mayo after the Trump win.
I dunno , how does Tucker’s show fit his prediction?.
Blink, most stations have *some* small “tokens” on, to ostensibly *prove* they’re offering – cough cough – “balance.”
Geraldo, Megan, Juan, Karl, all deal breakers. I watch Lou Dobbs and nothing else.
I thin it’s delicious how the lefties on Fox are eating crow – especially Megyn. Every time I see her steam is coming out of her nose. I just look at them and gloat with my smirky smile.
I stopped watching Fox shortly after Trump announced his run June 16, 2015. The bashing took a page from the leftwing playbook. Krauthammer, Goldberg, Hume all called Trump a “rodeo clown” but not one of the gave examples of why Trump deserved that denigrating title. Every time Carl Cameron or another reporter discussed a Trump event they added a negative dig that had nothing to do with the story and that they didn’t feel necessary to add with other candidates.
Lou Dobbs on Fox Business is the only one who made people give reasons and examples to justify their positions (which none of them could do). The interview with Chris Stirewalt in July or August was a classic. Stirewalt thought he could get away with his smug, baseless put downs.
The Murdoch boys are far left globalists who have taken over Fox News. Tucker Carlson has done some good interviews with his new show but he was as much a Trump basher as the others before the Trump win.
Shlep Smith just about pissed on his Hillary pom poms when the election started slipping away. Unfair and mentally imbalanced.
The Five with Dana Perino and Juan Williams is nothing more than shallow entertainment. They had Megyn Kelly on to tout her new book, and it was a touchy-feely cry-fest. Vomit Inducing.
I want real news, not sob stories.
I watched Fox Business the entire election night. It was just fine.
There was no way I would watch Fox News. I was already too nervous.
I also was on iOTWreport between the ‘Open Election’ thread and the ‘Returns Coming In’ one. Best comment ever was from Dianny near the beginning, “My tummy is all acidy”
Believe it or not, there is adequate evidence for calling them FooxUp Newz.Pronounce the fist word, you’ll get it.
We stopped watching Fox News during the primaries. Kilmeade was and is a Jebby/Rubio fan boy and obnoxious about it. Still like Doocy. Hannity is good and Judge Jeanine but we don’t watch often. The rest turned to bulloney during primaries. It was obvious they had marching orders from Murdoch.
Fox Business is pretty good. They are more balanced.
