The affluent region of Boulder, Colorado has declared itself a “sanctuary city,” to shield illegal immigrants from federal agents ahead of President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Boulder city council members said their effort to reaffirm their sanctuary status was intended to reassure illegal immigrants in the area that they would be protected, according to the Daily Camera.
“We are sending a message of reassurance to people,” said Boulder Mayor Suzanne Jones.
Boulder is so persistent on shielding illegal immigrants from the law that it has configured exactly how the City would operate, should a President Trump cut federal funding for noncompliance.
Well, just like Santa Fe and other nose-thumbing cities, at least smart people know to avoid staying or moving there. These places will swiftly become the sewers of the country. Too bad they won’t be making the “livable cities” list in the next few decades. Elections have consequences.
So if its too expensive to send the illegals back to Me-hico will it be cheaper to send them to Boulder?

Move all illegals to Boulder. Boulder is notoriously white, wealthy, and very non-diverse. It also is notoriously laden with hypocritical far-left bat sht crazy liberals of all stripes. Their little utopia could use a reality check.

Cut off federal funding to these cities. Immigration policy is a federal matter (the Obama administration sued Arizona over this issue and won), and if cities want to be sanctuary cities, they can pay for it themselves.
Boulder and other sanctuary cities will probably resort to the Washington Monument gambit and close public facilities and diminish or deny services to citizens in order to show how mean Donald Trump is. However, Trump is a different type of leader, and he is likely to call these cities out on this.

Hey they say they can live without the $8 million of federal funds — just cut it. And any other federal assistance. This isn’t the first time Boulder County has thumbed their nose at the law. Our radical county clerk/recorder started issuing illegal marriage to gays before it was officially legal in CO. They think they can do whatever they want. And yes, they are about the whitest city and county in CO (other than Aspen). A bunch of elitist minded idiots, some are wealthy and some are struggling to stay in their coveted liberal bastion that isn’t far behind looking and smelling like San Fransicso but they all are liked minded far leftist liberals (and look it too).

Most of the illegal immigrants in Boulder live in a few of the remaining trailer parks left over from the 1960s, before the university students took over the City and turned into the precious place it is today. Almost all of the other illegal aliens working in Boulder commute from Longmont, Lafayette, and Erie, where they can barely afford the cost of living. Longmont has the highest percentage increase of Mexicans living in a Colorado city in the last ten years. Hispanics are now more than twenty percent of the population. It also has the highest murder rate in the County, and whole sections of the city that are unsafe after dark. Of course, all of the children born in Boulder County to illegal aliens are anchoring their relatives under the asinine birthright citizenship court decisions that need to be corrected as soon as possible. I hope that the Justice Department singles out Boulder for the special attention it deserves. God speed, Donald Trump.

Give them an English to Whatever translation book and let them loose. I wonder how long Mayor Jones will stand on her principles or when she’ll remember she was elected to protect the people in her town.
The Boulderites are confused and psychotic. Sometimes they think they hate government and want to be their own private people’s republic. They need to be reminded that this town sucks off the federal tit BIG TIME. NOAA, NIST, and several other federal facilities are located there, and the univ. receives its share of federal $$ from the pig trough. The city has gotten rich off the federal taxpayer. They are an uppity and snooty bunch, with a massive sense of entitlement.
While we’re cutting funding to ‘sanctuary cities,’ let’s eliminate Federal spending to ALL non-Federal governments. And with it, Federal control of same.
Take. Federal funding away from every business and university in the county as well, including federal grant and loans to the university student. See how fast they change their minds.
No Fed funds to any address in Boulder. None.
