  1. In every way a machine like this is so much more impressive than a modern computer. That’s because the way from point-A to point-B was created mechanically, where scores, if not hundreds of parts, all have to work flawlessly together. The craftsmanship and design imperatives to create such a magnificent musical mechanism are nothing short of amazing. It speaks to the lengths man will go to in order to not only create something spectacular but to assert his will over the physical universe.

  2. That was great! It’s cool that the organ still exists, much less that it’s in working condition. The are some people with impressive skills who restore old mechanical things. I resoect their work a lot.

  3. That organ was the marvel of its day when it was first introduced. It looked beautiful so who ever restored it did do a fantastic job!!!!
    We take recorded music for granted these days but this organ, player pianos and other automated music boxes were the MP3 players of their days! As unique as it is to hear Bohemian Rhapsody I would love to hear it play what were the standards of the day. That would be the music it was designed to play.
