The streets of Bucharest haven’t been this lively since the people of Romania rose up in 1989 to oust communist dictator Ceausescu. Now they are angry at their recently sworn in Socialist government that has passed a decree that lets corrupt politicians who limited their bribery to $48,000 avoid any jail time.
One cabinet minister has already resigned, but the Socialists appear intent on outlasting the protestors.
They issued the decree to address “prison crowding,” which leaves open the question of just how many corrupt officials do they have Romania?
Isn’t going soft on political corruption what nazis/socialists always do? When you see your govt. letting politicians get away with breaking the law – you see your Constitution and law abiding society going to shit. And the only people not protected are the innocent.
Socialists have Limit of $48,000 on corruption?
Pikers !
Hillary and Bill have over a $Billion….now that’s corruption !
@Cato I guess once a corrupt official reach the levels of Bill and Hillary they don’t have to fear prosecution.
no self respecting politician would ever sell out for that paldry sum.
it has to be 6 figures, or stay at home.
Drag them out onto the streets and
see how they do.
