  1. At it’s heart, conservatism is about property rights (defined as anything one owns including wages or fruits of one’s labor) and respecting the rule of law as laid out in our Constitution.

No one needs to know the sexual orientation of anyone else so being gay is a red herring.

  2. I had a friend, we hunted and tinkered in my shop rode horses together, built stuff. Knew each other since the Boyscouts, he never got married.
We were with women doing camping stuff all the time.
I was absolutely gobsmacked when he died of AIDS.
Hell, I don’t care, just don’t ask me to condone the Castro Street shit.

  3. every homosexual i have known had several common denominators

    1. a missing male role model
    2. domineering mother
    3. sexual abuse by same sex adult

queers cannot propogate so they legislate. it is a youth beauty oriented lifestyle. my brother in law was once the cute boy at 18. now he is the 50 year old with cute young boys.

all sexual activity that is encouraged outside the bands of traditional marriage is soul draining. as a practicing catholic, i pray that all will know salvation. you can be queer, conservative but still have lost your soul. and that, i believe, is what this life is all about.

  4. I went to a very conservative Friends annual Valentines party last knight. She is gay and conservative. I’ve known her and her partner for over 2 decades…great people. I have about half a dozen gay friends (4 male, 2 female) and quite a few friends of friends that are gay. My area is about 80% republican, and I have yet to meet one that supports the left. Maybe they do secretly, but they have no issues being among hard core Trump supporters and conservatives. I could not hang out with dozens of prog Hiliary supporters for any length of time. I was born that way.

  5. This discussion sorta reminds me of the story about the middle-aged Jewish woman who wanted a new woolen coat, so she went to an expensive store and found one she liked. However, when she found out the price was 400 dollars, she was shocked and immediately stormed out of the place. Then she decided to go to a cheaper store, so she wound up at J.C. Penney, where she found an identical-looking coat for only 100 dollars.

After purchasing the coat, she couldn’t resist going back to the first store and giving them a piece of her mind. She found the original salesman and said, “Look at this coat! This is the same coat you want 400 dollars for, and I got it at Penney’s for a hundred!”

The salesman said, “May I look at the label, please?”

    She said, “Sure. Why not?”

Looking at the label, the salesman smiled and said, “Aha! Here’s the reason. The coat you bought is only 100% wool, but our coat is 100% virgin wool!”

The woman replied, “So what? For 300 bucks I should care what the sheep do at night?!”

  6. What Dianny said.

I have a gay friend who I have known forever-through art school, his first marriage, his divorce to his coming out and new marriage with his partner now of some 20+ years. Very smart man and happy that he is on our side. We don’t agree on everything but who does really. I think it’s great that Conservatives are “diverse” in who they are (green, pink, brown or straight or gay or whatever) but hold tight to the ideas that founded this country, appreciate it’s history and together in all of shapes and sizes-can defeat the Left.

  7. My (straight) brother in law is Liberal to the core. Upside down US flag and all. Voted for barry because “it’s time this country had a black president.” Nice guy, but he has indoctrinated my sister and their daughter with his values. Sad.

His ex wife is bisexual, living with another woman now. Daughters from this previous marriage are similarly confused.

    Family gatherings are *interesting*.

It may be possible to draw some conclusions from this, but I prefer to avoid thinking about it too much.

  8. Having conservative views and being a conservative sodomite as a role model cannot be conflated.

Example: Liberals that own guns, or conservatives that are okay with the destruction of helpless human life out of pure convenience.

    Yeah, they are out there.
