  1. In the article, chief Logan is quoted as sayingThat decal represents that we will take any means necessary to keep our community safe. It’s appalling that the chief’s statement went without comment or reaction. It is not the job of police to use any means necessary to do their jobs. It is the job of the police to safeguard the people in their jurisdiction, and their property by acting within the limits of the law they purport to enforce.

When cops become lawless, then why should I not take the same path to protect myself, my family, and property from them when they mistakenly take on the role of prosecutor, judge, and jury?

  2. So according to the article, the citizens liked it, the only councilman quoted was critical of it because of the expense (but apparently council voted for it), and Disney doesn’t seem to have a copyright issue with it. So where the hell is the “Backlash” the article mentions in the first paragraph? Sounds like a typical case where one disgruntled asshole didn’t like it, so the politicians are wetting their pants.

  3. In the article, the police chief says he thought of it as a “warrior’s logo”.

Anyone who thinks of himself as a “warrior” has zero business being a cop. It’s because of guys like this that our police have gone from being enforcers of the law to vigilantes in their own right.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I have yet to meet a cop that wasn’t a piece of shit. Overgrown schoolyard bullies, using their badge as a legal outlet to push people around, the lot of them.
