Schumer and Gillibrand Helped Athlete Being Held on Sex Charges Obtain Visa

WFB: Democratic Sens. Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.) helped a snowshoe racer from India gain entry into the U.S. to compete, but he is now being held in a New York jail on sex charges as of Friday.

Tanveer Hussain was charged with the felony of first-degree sexual abuse and the misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child after Saranac Lake Village police received a report of the alleged incident, according to Fox News.

Hussain was allegedly “engaging in a passionate kiss” with a 12-year-old girl. Other accusations claim he was touching her in an intimate area over her clothes.

He was arrested on Wednesday for the incident which allegedly occurred on Monday.

Brian Barrett, Hussain’s lawyer, pleaded not guilty for his client, claiming the 12-year-old girl “had been following him around all week.”

Hussain’s application for a visa was denied last month by U.S. Embassy in New Delhi. Hussain was attempting to obtain a visa in order to compete in the World Snowshoe Championship in upstate New York.

Both Schumer and Gillibrand’s offices were contacted by local officials on Hussain’s behalf in an attempt to obtain a visa. In return, both of the Democratic Senators’ offices reached out to the New Delhi embassy. Hussain was then allowed to reapply for the visa which he was eventually granted.  more

  1. They should let him out on bail to practice. Let him race out into the deep woods on his snowshoes. Out where the snow in the trees, and on the forest floor like a blanket, muffles the sound of a good, solid beatdown.

  2. Well I can imagine where his defense is going with this:
“I swear your Honor I didn’t she was only 12 she looked 14 if she was a day”.
Anyway, maybe it’s time the GOP looked at the Schumer and Gillibrand seats. Maybe they’re more vulnerable then it appears at first blush. Schumer has been ragging on Trump and from what I can tell it isn’t having any effect so it may be worthwhile to have a look for a good candidate. Gillibrand goes to the polls in 2018 while Schumer is up in 2022 unfortunately. I’d say start after Gillibrand now and if Trump is doing well you may just knock her off. I suspect Chuckie may just call it quits as he’s 66 right now and all the crap he’s pulled over the years may just start coming back if conservatives start to chip away at him. I suspect as well that the Democrat Party may not give him the support going forward that they’ve given him in the past as they start to purge the obvious and overt extreme left in the party and try to rebrand themselves as the party of the slight left-centre and the defender of minority rights.
