(CNSNews.com) – “ISIS is the most richly funded, most well-funded terror organization in human history, so they’re able to do the damage they do,” Rep. Steve Pearce (R-N.M.) told C-SPAN on Thursday.
As chairman of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Terrorism and Illicit Finance, Pearce said it wouldn’t be too difficult to cut off ISIS’ major source of funding, which is oil.
“The largest revenue stream comes from the sale of oil,” Pearce said, adding that he took “tremendous exception” to the Obama administration’s refusal to target oil truck drivers in Syria and Iraq.
