Restoring Liberty:
Congressman Ron Paul, MD, had the right answer to resolving this free rider problem. He shocked people in the 2012 presidential campaign when he said that the government should remove any legal or regulatory requirement that doctors or hospitals treat people who won’t be able to pay them, apart from obvious, life-threatening emergencies.
Rep. Paul was right. Food is just as crucial to life as health care, but we don’t let hungry people turn up at restaurants and ditch the tab. There is no moral case for drafting health care professionals into indentured servitude for those unable to pay. The fact that emergency wards are available for this purpose surely discourages a certain percentage of people who could afford health insurance from spending the money to get it. And of course, we should not be providing free medical care — except for life-threatening emergencies — to illegal residents at all.
Insurance companies being free to offer other products will kill it
Like herding cats. This is why in the last 20 years this country continues to drift more to the left.
The Republicans and Democrats both think that Healthcare is a right. That’s the problem.
It’s NOT a right. Like driving on our highways, it’s a privilege. And if you live in California, it’s just like buying a gun for self-defense; a privilege.
Regulated privileges generate control over the sheeple populace and $$$ for the people whom impose that power.
ObamaCare, and eventually TrumpCare will be similar; the $$$ will exit your pocket and deposit itself into their pocket – or else.
Jeffery Ludwig’s AT essay matches my own opinion.
That the GOP were completely willing to send Obama a bill that completely repealed ObamaNoCare, when they knew it was a sure bet to be vetoed.
Now that we’ve also given them the Presidency, which they said was all they needed to repeal it, they’ve lost the spine they claimed to have to get elected.
Forget the Replace delay dodge, and just Repeal the darned thing. Help President Trump out for once, and get it done. Get the government out it.

Let the marketplace be the marketplace for insurance. People will figure out what is good for them, and remember, there is the internet for evaluations. Let “Obamacare” revert back to Medicaid.
Such a stupid party. They are wringing their hands because a bunch a democrats (who will never vote for them) are going to lose their freebies. I say do a full repeal and quit worrying about the people that will never vote for you.
Screw Ryan and Trump. The reason Obamacare won’t go away is because our leaders don’t have the balls to make it go away. My monthly premiums are so high is makes me furious. I saw Ryan on fox last night saying premiums would go down 10% !?!? That’s nothing
