Filmmaker Spike Lee doesn’t understand why free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick hasn’t been signed.
Lee wrote on Instagram, “Smells MAD fishy to me, stinks to the high heavens”
Lee and others feel Kaepernick is being blackballed because he kneeled during the national anthem last season.
Perhaps that is part of the story, but not the whole story.
The biggest reason Kaepernick’s still unsigned is that he’s just not a very good quarterback right now. His play has slipped significantly since he helped lead the San Francisco 49ers to a 2013 Super Bowl appearance.
The NFL has a dearth of elite quarterbacks. If a team felt Kaepernick would solve their quarterback issue, he’d likely be on a team right now.
I hope he goes back to Turlock, CA so the Assyrian population can beat his smug, unpatriotic ass.
It’s both, really. He is a non-performing, racist, anti-American asshole, and the flag-waving football fans are tuning out.

Spike Lee, who’s lost over 60 million dollars on his films, does not recognize failure when it’s staring him in the face. Nuther thought: Who on Kap’s team would do anything to make Kap look good? His team mates realize who cost them hundreds of millions of dollars.
He’s the reason football is no longer watched in the Poor Lazlo household.

Lee is just a racist old black man who see’s prejudice everywhere. What he doesn’t see is that he’s a token black director who gets thrown a little project every so often so that the Hollywood elite can feel good about themselves. As for Kaepernick his political stance no doubt played a small part in his not being picked up but the fact is he’s washed up and doesn’t have it to play with the NFL any longer. His most recent appearance bear that out. If he could still play some NFL team would have taken him on, remember the NFL hired Michael Vick back so it’s not as if they feel a duty to anything higher then winning and the dollar.
I don’t watch sports so I don’t care– hope he can find a job sweeping out horse stalls. I bet his adoptive parents are proud of him. 🙁
