Always happy to see an allusion to a Dorothy Parker quote.
“If the doorbell rang in her apartment, she would say, ‘What fresh hell can this be?’ — and it wasn’t funny; she meant it.”
— from You might as well live: the life and times of Dorothy Parker, John Keats (Often quoted as “What fresh hell is this?”)
I’m already up and will be to work in a half hr. Woohoo, another work week begins. The only hell will be if the damn deer don’t stay out of my way early in the morning heading up to Kalispell. Every day is a good day considering the alternative.
Retired, and planned for it.
Every day is a Saturday and
I thank God on every morning.
For me it’s great no matter what because I’m retired but my wife, who is a lower level supervisor in a federal government office serving the public in a capacity (not-Irs) I’d rather not name gets it from the retired military jerks who are the employee models for incompetence or just waiting around for that second paycheck retirement or the ones she can’t fire because of “eeo” (Peurto Rico) or disability hires that have to be accommodated but not assimilated into the work force AND the general public demanding services there are not enough workers to give (and it’s not the VA).
She don’t make enough considering her grief and the “you’re not going to believe this…” stories she comes home with.
Glad I don’t have to worry. My hell is pretty much the same old stale sh!t it’s always been. Nothing fresh for me.
Another week and another dozen solicitations for money from the RNC, invoking Trump’s name. Not one dime, not one penny for money going to Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.
Every day is a gift.
izlamo delenda est …
I already know – my boss emailed over the weekend!
I get paid by the hour so I don’t really care. Although I am looking for a better job.
Going up on the Reservation today.
The best part of my job is the travel.
I get to travel all around Arizona and see it.
Then climb on somebody’s roof and look around.
FDR – you got some fresh Hell for us? We’re getting bored with the same old Hell.
Could be hell in Portland but there’s so much rain there’s no chance of a fire for at least a week. Last two weeks weren’t much better. Only one day without rain.
Retired and living in one of the most beautiful parts of the country (PNW), but like most of the best places, it has been overrun with leftists; that’s the hell of it.
Since obamalamadingdong got fired I don’t worry as much.
That pic…talk about a resting bitch face.
I’m retired…I don’t even know what day it is, and I don’t care.
Retired finally and loving it. Oh, today’s Monday?
