RIP old friend, MadJack.

You were there since the beginning.

We miss you already.

Here is MadJack’s last comment-

A fighter and a patriot until the end.

  1. Good bye brother. Rest easy, your watch is over.

1 Thessalonians 4:13,14 Moreover, brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who are sleeping in death, so that you may not sorrow as the rest do who have no hope.  For if we have faith that Jesus died and rose again, so too God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in death through Jesus.

  2. So the Big “C” got him, and Greetings From Yonkers too. Rest in Pease old buddies. I miss you both. Keep a seat warm for me and we’ll have a blast one day. But I’m in no hurry

  3. Jack and I used to frequent some of the same overseas liberty port watering holes back in the 60’s and we always thought we may have had an adult beverage or two together and not even known it in our later days.

I’m gonna miss my old friend. Semper Fi Mad Jack, Fair Winds and Following Seas!

  4. Mad Jack was among a bunch good first friends to me in this interweb world. I remember his kindness, friendliness and gentlemanlyness. Heaven’s gain is our loss…but we can still remember him and carry forward. RIP Mad Jack.

  5. I will miss him, but I know he will not miss me. As he was a Marine, I know he will be on overwatch, and though I cannot see, he will be there. So tonight I will hold a glass of Scotch to the darkened sky and smile. Glad to have known you, my friend. Life here on Earth knowing that you were one of “us” was better. RIP.

  6. Gone From My Sight

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says, “There, she is gone.”

    Gone where?

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me — not in her.

And, just at the moment when someone says, “There, she is gone,”
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, “Here she comes!”

    And that is dying…

  7. Damn. I really loved that guy. He never held back and never took any bullshit from anyone. Rest in Peace, dear Jack. You were, and still are, a shining gem of truth.
Show your posts to God. He’ll get your humor 🙂

  8. It’s always a terrible tragedy to lose a loved one, especially to a disease and not a more natural cause. Prayers for his family.
RIP, may you be resting in the hands of God.
