School Shooting Team Won’t Be Featured in Yearbook Because of Photo With Guns

IJR: Big Lake High School senior Wyatt Stone is a member of the school’s trap shooting team and was excited to have the sport immortalized in the yearbook for the first time.

However, when the team’s photo was submitted, the school had one big problem — there were guns in it.

According to CBS Minnesota, the athletic director told Head Coach Rhonda Eckerdt that it is against school policy to have firearms in a photo and the picture would not be included in the yearbook.  read more

  1. Let’s all get up in arms over this silly issue. This is important to someone I guess. My two cents: don’t like guns, make em illegal (and good luck with that). Same thing with smoking: don’t like it, make it illegal (good luck with that too, can’t live without that sin tax). Oops, looks like I was triggered.

  2. We had rifles teams at school way back when. Need them again.

It’s important because the left has demonized guns to the point they have been raised to “radioactive state” where even seeing one is an outrage and people brainwashed by the left tremble in fear. Why? They might just jump up and shoot their wad all on their own, that’s why.

Bring back gun racks in the rear windows.

Re-normalize guns to their proper status as tools for hunting and self-defense. Any 6 y.o. should be a marksman with a .22. Just like we were where I grew up.

Funny how you don’t fear them if you’re not taught to fear them in the first place. Respect them, yes. Fear them, no.

Typical lefty thought pattern: I don’t like something so make them illegal for everyone else. No room for gaining a different perspective.

I actually get sick around cigarettes. I will never vote to make them illegal. Who would I be to force my will on everyone else? A lefty that’s who.

  3. Reporter Kory (sp?) is a bit too dandy to be left anywhere near my grandkids.

Just sayin’, some of my alarms go off looking at him. Maybe he should be illegal since I don’t like him…
