Trump Calls for Middle East to ‘Take the Lead’ in Fighting Terrorism

DailySignal: Near the birthplace of Islam, President Donald Trump called for an alliance of Muslim-Arab nations to combat Islamic terrorism in his first major international address.

“Our goal is a coalition of nations who share the aim of stamping out extremism and providing our children a hopeful future that does honor to God,” Trump said in speaking to the Arab-Islamic-American Summit in Riyadh.

Trump, who spoke for about 35 minutes to more than 50 leaders of Muslim-majority countries, also announced many Middle Eastern countries were signing an agreement to prevent terrorism financing by establishing the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center, co-chaired by the United States and Saudi Arabia. Trump also participated in the opening of Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology in Riyadh.

Trump talked about the 9/11 attacks and the Boston bombing in the United States, and noted terrorist attacks across the world. He said some estimates show 95 percent of victims of terrorism are Muslims.  read more

  1. It’s been said before, middle-eastern cultures respect strength. I don’t think that western sensibilities truly understand how important that is. We have so dismissed the notion of the strong alpha male, the concept is often lost to modern mealy-mouthed diplomats and politicians.

Barry the jug-eared bobblehead lost all credibility the moment he took his beta male bow and inhaled deeply into Riyadh’s collective crotch. He was proud of himself, I’m sure.

  2. What was ABC news’ reaction last night? The sudden realization that Saudi Arabia violates human rights, and that coward Donald Trump didn’t mention it to the king’s face. I kid you not.

  3. Never Trumpers are already whining that he didn’t say “radical” and didn’t call the Saudi terrorists in their face, therefore he’s a “Cuckservative”. The president has as many enemies on the Democrats side as on the Republican.

  4. He’s setting the tone, I think a great start. We have complained for years that much of terrorism’s roots are in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other emirates but the US continues a friendly relationship with them while attacking Iran, Syria, Afghanistan etc. This gives those countries a chance to head in the right direction while US continues to benefit from the relationship, but if they don’t take proper action enables Trump to start separating from them.

  5. We are going to have much better international relations when we are represented by grown-ups who are not liberals. WE are going to have better relations when we do not act like a bunch of wimps, and act guilty for our successes and act as if it is our job to be a welcome wagon to the entire world. How many immigrants does SAudi Arabia admit? NONE!! How many does China admit? NONE!!! This does not damage their image on the world stage one iota. It is time for us to join the “No immigrants” crowd and when we do, our image will only improve. When you act like pussies and weaklings, the rest of the world looks down on you. It is time to start acting like adults and leaders and time to stop giving away everything we and our forefathers and foremothers have earned. Time to also make America Grownup Again.
