Robert Mueller Stocks Staff with Democrat Donors

Lifezette: Special counsel’s team includes former Clinton Foundation lawyer, contributors to Obama, Hillary, more.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich sparked a mini-meltdown in the media Monday with a tweet challenging the fairness of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Gingrich, who also appeared on “The Laura Ingraham Show,” pointed to the early hires special counsel Robert Mueller has made.

“Republicans are delusional if they think the special counsel is going to be fair,” he tweeted. “Look who he is hiring.check fec [sic] reports. Time to rethink.”

He’s not wrong about the donations. Four top lawyers hired by Mueller have contributed tens of thousands of dollars over the years to the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates, including former President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump’s 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton.

One of the hires, Jeannie Rhee, also worked as a lawyer for the Clinton Foundation and helped persuade a federal judge to block a conservative activist’s attempts to force Bill and Hillary Clinton to answer questions under oath about operations of the family-run charity.

  1. Sessions needs to hammer home the screaming conflict of interest in having Comey’s BFF run the witch hunt. He shouldn’t fire Mueller without first making a strong and public case for simply replacing Mueller, who should be recusing himself anyway.

Mueller wants to be fired, and is baiting PDT with these partisan hires. But Mueller is another one who does not understand who he is dealing with in PDT.

  2. The solution is to just dissolve this Special Counsel. Comey’s testimony cleared Trump completely re: the Russia Hoax. Announce that that settles the matter.
Then appoint a new Special Counsel to pursue Lynch-Clinton collusion, including Comey’s failure to report. Those tentacles will put the Left back on Defense.

Today’s Sessions testimony seems like a very, very bad move.

  3. If Trump fears nothing about involvement or collusion, he should just let this group of leftist stooges do its thing and come to the same conclusion most of the sane world came to months ago – nothing burger.

Then what is the left going to say when their stacked box comes up empty handed? Unless they completely fabricate evidence to implicate Trump or one of his staff, they will have major egg on their face for wasting everybody’s time and money on a witch hunt.

The sad thing is that the feckless GOPe could gore the Democrats for the witch hunt while letting Americans suffer, but they suck balls and would waste yet another golden opportunity.

  4. Any time you hear “Trump is going to fire Mueller”, “Trump is replacing Spicer”, “Reince is about to be replaced”, remember it’s the fake media reporting these things, trying to stir up more controversy.
    Don’t believe it.
Stirring up crap is the fake media’s modus operandi nowadays.

  5. Thanks for recusing yourself Sessions. This is the kind of CRAP you get when trying to be “fair” with the leftist dem tyrants. If you don’t figuratively go for their throat they’ll destroy you.

I’m so sick of gutless Republicans.

  6. Obama got away with shutting down fast and furious and any number of other scandals during his administration. So I don’t have a problem with Trump shutting down any of the fake scandals that the Dems have invented to discredit him.

  7. This particular investigation will be reviewed at every stage by DOJ lawyers chosen by Sessions. If Meuller has a good reputation (and it seems he does) for being non-partison and only interested in the truth then if he tries to fiddle with this he’ll risk that and he strikes me (true, I don’t know too much about him) as a person who places a high value on his reputation and recognizes a tarbaby when he sees one. After Comey’s testimoney you can make a case for dissolving this investigation but I think that plays into the Dems hands. Trump has shown that he’s a shrewder operator then most of DC so I suspect he has this well in hand regardless of whether Meuller runs an honest investigation or not. Personally, I think (regardless of the lawyers hired) he will run an honest and quick investigation. Besides, I suspect that a lot of the lawyers who contributed to the Clintons also contributed to the Republicans as lawyers always like to hedge their bets. But it would be interesting to see a list of all the lawyers and investigators along with their political affiliations and donations over the last ten years.

  8. Trump should be fighting fire with fire. Every time he is accused he should have DOJ go after every dem/rino who committed the same “crime.” Put an end to this hypocrisy starting with hillary and obama.
obama can do anything he wants with immigration without the courts claiming he needs congressional approval but Trump has to get it? Bullcrap.
I want republicans to shut up these hypocrites with prosecutions and firings. Enough already.

  9. Agreed. Trump needs to go on the attack. Open investigations into spying and unmasking by obungo. Open more into his BC and fake SS#. Go after the Clinton foundation. Go after Comey with a club.
