The lawyer for the co-founder of Fusion GPS, the firm that compiled a dossier on president Trump’s activities in Russia, has informed the Senate Judiciary Committee that his client, Glenn Simpson, will invoke his 5th Amendment rights rather than testify.
Fox News:
Committee chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and ranking member Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., confirmed in a statement that they subpoenaed Simpson to appear before the committee Wednesday as part of a hearing about the influence of foreign lobbying in last year’s presidential election.
“Simpson’s attorney has asserted that his client will invoke his Fifth Amendment rights in response to the subpoena,” Grassley and Feinstein said.
During the campaign, Fusion GPS contracted former MI-6 agent Christopher Steele to look into rumors about Trump’s financial and social connections in Russia. The resulting “dossier,” which was leaked to the media following Trump’s victory in November included a number of sordid allegations about the president’s sexual proclivities.
Last week, Fox News reported that Fusion GPS had ties to Russian efforts to undermine U.S. sanctions that were led by attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya. MORE

It’s okay. CNN willhold around the clock panels on how the latest unnamed source said that Trump likes to dip his greasy french fries with heart clogging mayonnaise. It’s clear Trump’s rapidly deteriorating health from his unhealthy eating habits make him unfit to be President. Another unnamed source will say that one of the stockholders of the Mayo producing company is a Russian, adding one more piece to the collusion puzzle.
When they finally get to Don SourLemon, somebody will dare to bring this pleading of the 5th to the table. His mic will get cut off “accidentally” of course before SourLemon retorts he will not put up with guests throwing out wild conspiracy theories on his show.

Make him actually say the words pleading the 5th each and every time even if it takes all day. None of this special deals where he says it once and get to leave. If the Dems don’t like it then they can cede their time. Make the bastard sweat and squirm for eight hours. You never know, he may make a mistake.
The desperate slaps by the dems to distract from the real collusion isn’t working. The more they try to redirect attention the more light shines on the real criminals. They’ve laid bare the criminality and the public will not stand for a railroad of Trump no matter what they come up with.
