It was 50 years ago today

John McCain was involved in a horrible fire and several explosions aboard the USS Forrestal, and many lives were lost.

This Marine doesn’t like McCain painted as a hero.

  1. Dead Fucking Loser. Always has been, always will be. And he cemented his legacy with the vote he cast. “Let’s see Trump make America Great now”. Petty little bitch. I wonder if any of the ghosts of all those service people visit him at night? I hope so.

  2. Remember well the training videos in and after boot camp about this disaster. IIRC, a rocket launched on deck from a jet and why was never fully discovered (maybe it has since). Several years ago I met an elderly vet with a Forrestal cap. I was wearing mine so I nodded as we headed for the door and asked quietly, “Were you there?” He just nodded briefly with his eyes closed. I said “Thank you.”

  3. I’ve read that he was so close to the bottom in his graduating class, the only reason he became a fighter pilot was admiral daddy pulled a handful of strings – accurate?
I don’t think they pull the cream of the crop out of the bottom of the barrel – ultimately graduated 894 of 899 of the class of 1958!

  4. 💥 Photo of McCain meeting with Syrian terrorists 💥

I think to myself, “Maybe you need to go back and spend some more time in a Vietnam prison camp until you learn not to interfere in another country’s business.”

  5. He certainly was well prepared to be shot down over Vietnam, though I doubt that was the point of all that expensive flight training and multiple crashers prior to his stay in Hanoi.

  6. Google “McCain Songbird” and get an eyeful.

I really have never understood how he can live with himself. The man is a textbook example of a sociopath.

He’s had a lifelong problem with authority. He’s supposed to be a Republican, so he screws them every chance he gets.

  7. The fact of the matter is that McStain is on his way out, literally, and gave cover to the majority of the RINO’S to vote “Yea”. It’s all bullshit and meant to deceive. Don’t fall for this shit.

  8. OpenTheDoor wins Comment of the Year for “reverse ace”. Priceless. Reminds me of the time decades ago when I was watching Monday Night Football and commentator “Dandy Don” Meredith (may he RIP), who was a recent former Dallas Cowboys quarterback himself, was watching with disgust while the Cowboys stunk up the stadium against some team I don’t even remember. The Cowboys quarterback (who had replaced Meredith when the latter retired) was Craig Morton, who had just thrown his second interception after only two completions in the whole game. I believe it was Howard Cosell who commented on Morton’s poor performance, when Meredith sarcastically quipped, “Oh, I don’t know, Howard. After all, he’s completed four passes – two to his own team, and two to the other guys.”

    😉

  9. Is John McCain still alive? If my memory is correct, a rocket from his jet started the USS Forrestal disaster. That resulted in more service men killed than by any (other) Commy bastard.

  10. Of course with his daddy and grand daddy were both admirals so they could cover his ass.

I had a good friend on the USS Oriskany (CV-34) the ship he was immediately transferred to after the incident on the Forrestal and the entire flight deck crew were as nervous as a whore in church with that shitbird onboard.

  11. I saw this and the other videos of both the Forrestal and the USS Enterprise while attending fire fighting school early in 1973 right after I was stationed at NAS Miramar with my fighter squadron VF-114. It still scares the hell out of me. And having been through a small fire in the engine room of the USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 in Dec. 1973 on our way to the Philippines that killed 8 sailors the fire fighting training was of great value. Everyone become a fire fighter under extreme circumstances on board the Forrestal, the USS Enterprise and also the USS Oriskany as well.
