August 24th, 2016, is when we lost Admin Girl after a years long battle with complications due to scleroderma.

I had something planned for the 24th this year, but I’m going to post now.

Many readers are aware that we had some pretty bad site issues today that took us down for nearly an hour. This is something that Admin Girl would normally be taking care of.

The other day I was moving a small antique chalkboard and set it down. Written on it was the phone number of our old server and the password: Rosie.

Rosie was Admin Girl’s cat.

The day she gave me the password was the day I knew she was very, very sick.

Yes, believe it or not the password for the server was kept from everyone but Admin Girl. That’s one of the things that drove me crazy about her. It was very risky, that system, but she always managed to get the job done.

Her iconic eye avatar was ever present, and she was always there.

Now, for the first time we’ll reveal where that avatar came from. And Kerre (Admin Girl) will provide the soundtrack.

(The audio will not publish properly. It’s almost as if Kerre is saying “don’t you dare!!!!” So here is a snippet. Maybe one day we’ll put up a good copy.)

    The watchful eye has been on the upper left side of iOTW since she left the world as we know it, right above the comments, and there is shall stay until Fur takes it down, like never.

  35. Some of the most valuable conservatives are people who are immersed in a liberal environment and should be liberals. You can hardly get more liberal than writing for the LA music scene. But they retain a conservative outlook due to the fact that something about liberalism absolutely revolts them

    You’re a case in point, BFH. Bookworm is another — she went to Berkeley for seven years and graduated cum laude from Berkeley Law School, but was disgusted by the Left’s rantings about the immorality of Hiroshima — because her mother had been an internee in a Japanese camp and had almost died from starvation

    What I’m getting at — is there something in AG’s ethnic background that would cause her to be hostile to the Left.
    She’s looks Far Eastern — Vietnamese maybe? Actually she looks about half Far Eastern; was she the child of a American serviceman and a Vietnamese mother? Both of those backgrounds would inure some one to the siren call of the Left

    You dont have to answer that if you dont want, BFH. I’m just trying to account for her conservative outlook
