Professor lets ‘stressed’ students decide their own grade

University of Georgia professor Richard Watson

Professor yellow teeth will allow you to goof around in class because it’s easier than forcing you to pay attention and actually make you learn something. And if you don’t learn anything, it’s not his fault. Now, pay him.

h/t Meerkat: University of Georgia forced professor YT to drop the policy when they got wind of it.

  1. Furthering the idea that college is indeed worthless.

Think of all the money future families will save by not sending their children to the libtard indoctrination centers in the future.

  2. Unfortunately, for many high-paying jobs, a college degree is necessary to make the first cut. Because of government programs, affirmative action, etc. college is out of reach for middle class white men unless they take out a crippling student loan. The result of this social engineering is a higher percentage of minorities than whites in many colleges and more women than men in all colleges. Bad time to be a white male in America.

  3. No standards eventually erodes market value of institution

Employers are not stupid. They get wind of something like this, and resumes end up in the paper-shredder. It’s obvious their low skill doesn’t meet their high grades. People in industries talk to each other about these things.

  4. The professor should have been removed as well as the verbiage. I wonder who proofs the syllabus before it gets printed/posted? I suspect the only reason U of G actually did something is the fact it became public and threatened the value of the degree and that this was an ass covering as opposed to really caring about their students.

  5. This guy teaches data collection and databases. From what I have seen from the climate hoax you just make the shit up anyway.
    From his archived syllabus:

    Stress reduction policy
Emotional reactions to stressful situations can have profound consequences for all involved. In order to avoid such situations in this class, the following policies will apply:
1.All tests and exams will be open book and open notes, including the use of material on your laptop.
2.All tests and exams will be designed to be completed in half the allotted time by the majority of students.
3.All tests and exams will be designed to assess low level mastery of the course material.
4.If you feel unduly stressed by a grade for any assessable material or the overall course, you can email the instructor indicating what grade you think is appropriate, and it will be so changed. No explanation is required, but it is requested that you consider waiting 24 hours before emailing the instructor.
5.If in a group meeting, you feel stressed by your group’s dynamics, you should leave the meeting immediately and need offer no explanation to the group members. Furthermore, you can request to discontinue all further group work and your grade will be based totally on non-group work.
6.Only positive comments about presentations will be given in class. Comments designed to improve future presentations will be communicated by email.

“While this policy might hinder the development of group skills and mastery of the class material, ultimately these are your responsibility. I will provide every opportunity for you to gain high level mastery.”
