Ocean Recession at Key Largo

We saw this in the Bahamas.

People are asking,”where does the water go?’

Into my lanai.

  1. well BIG-you stay safe and dry but I got my own problems. my grand daughter just texted me-needs new cloths for school and she is my princess and cant say no. Prayers for you and yours. Be safe. God bless. Remember tomorrow and never forget. 9-11.

  2. Did Humphrey Bogart’s boat make it out OK? Was Lauren Bacall able to slip Frank that rod before Edward G Robinson and his goons got on board?
And what about Fur’s lanai? You know, the screen porch that prevents Floridians from all dying of mosquito borne diseases.

But seriously, I hope you all are dry and well.

Friend in Coral Springs lost power this morning.

  3. I just got one of those vacant sounding FB messages, “pray for the people of Florida”. Sorry. God had a flood to wipe out dirtbags for a reason. How about praying for the GOOD people of Florida and the wicked to go to an early grave. I guess I’m too Old Testament to be cool.

  4. And, for some reason, people believe that mankind can affect the climate.
Please show me anything humans have done that comes remotely close to this, the water in the ocean has been massively displaced!

  5. LBS, I guess I should have waited a bit for this thread to post what I posted in previous thread.

“Just an observation. For several days now I can’t seem to get my mind off Humphrey Bogart.”

  6. I’ve tried to get the vid to play at several sites, apparently I’m persona non grata at the twitter.
However, I’m glad to be in the company of people that are aware of such great movies as Key Largo.

  7. Just a note of trivia. Key Largo was originally named Cayo Largo, meaning Long Islet, but most people called it Tavernier Key until the movie made it famous and it became a tourist destination. It’s a great John Huston directed movie.
